Cos I no fit allow anyone to be bullshiting me as if am been paid

It's not a must but it is beneficial to your spiritual growth when you join a department that is geared towards service to God sincerely. God sees our heart and motive towards our work for him in his vineyard and rewards us bountifully.

What makes u think that working in a dept in a church is a must? Based on u "looking down" on people who don't, isn't this ur personal and sentimental opinion and not d biblical opinion? Does God look down on those who don't work in church?

Before you start ranting, what church do you worship in? If you are a Catholic, it is a must you belong to an organization. Yes, it is a must because doing so helps you learn more about the church.

1st we must understand that walking with God and working for God are 2 different thing, for you to walk with God it means u have a relationship God ( in other words u are a born again). Working for God is an act of worship to God, you can not say u love God and u are not in anyway contributing in service in the house of God. For u to come to that church for the first time and fell in love with the activities of the church it means some persons has put efforts to make sure u fill comfortable as u worship God.
For your service to be completed to God these 3 must be complete. Physical service, spiritual service and financial service, these 3 must be in place

My opinion.
Well to me I will not say it's a must but what I know as written in the bible is that all will give account of their stewardship at end.Remember the parable of talent Matt :15 - 28.Everyone created by God has his/her ministry to fulfill in the house of God as an Evangelist(lets say 10 talent) Usher(lets say 4 talent) intersesor(this or that talent) Children teacher,Security Church cleaner...it can be this or that.All are talents.It is for one to pray and ask God to show him/her the area to serve HIM in HIS vineyard.And verse 30 of that Matt 25 said:And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeths.
Again the bible says Woe to them that are at ease in zion - Amos 6:1

Imagine if everyone is a church goer!

What makes you feel that you are being looked upon because you are only a church member and not a worker? This feeling should let you know that there is more to God than just church attendance and giving offerings.
Some people clean the church, some usher, some pray for the church, some evangelize, some teach the word, some lead praises, some do welfare etc. All these are the aspects of church that every church goer gets blessed from.
Every genuine child of God is expected to get involved in church activities to be used by God to bless others (church goers and fellow workers). Jesus our example got involved in his days. So why won't I be an active worker in a church if I am genuinely born again? We have been saved to serve. It shouldn't even be about whether compulsory or not. It should be a matter of necessity.

King James Bible: Luke 2:49
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Who expects every "genuine child of God is expected to get involved in church activities"?

Pls which work was Jesus doing in Luke 2:49?

It is not a must. But if you have a talent or gift that fits into any department, it's always good to join so you have the corporate platform to serve in church.

Just serve God, in most churches you can only do that by joining a department.

Money making business that should be taxed. That's the church.

If you are saved, you are a child of God, a member of God’s household. As a responsible child, your desire should be to see God’s Kingdom flourish. One of the ways to that is give your time and talents by serving in a department of your local church.

It is not a must but very good to join in service unto God..Don't just have a personal relationship have a working relationship though your service unto God and you can do that by joining a service or departmental groups .it has alot of benefit..scripture says if you will serve him he would bless your bread and water the no of your days u will fulfil Exodus 23 v 25 there are benefit both physically and spirituallly u will get sir

How can you be in a church and not be useful to God? We are saved to serve. Any saved person who is not serving doesn't deserve God's blessings. When you serve God, He takes up your battles..

No, Never. But if u want to get more serious in service to God, then it's advised.

For me, I am Head of department choir, and technical. I am also a house fellowship leader. God is helping me.

Even though I am not a member of the sanitation department I sometimes do join them in cleaning God's house.

It's a privilege to be alive so I can't misuse it.
