Thanks for the response, but I'm curious. Did you mean you were admitted for Fall 2022 or Spring 2022?
Canada2021:
Good afternoon all,

I just got admitted into the University of Arizona for the 2022 fall semester. However, I am sad that I was not given any form of scholarship to reduce the expenses.

I want to find out if it is feasible to be given visa without getting scholarship.

Good day everyone. Weldone for the good job done here. Please pardon my long epistle I really need your suggestions.

Please I need your suggestions here. I graduated with a 2.2 (2.76) on a 5.0 scale CGPA in Biochemistry. Since after graduation I have been working and I have about 5 years work experience in Business Development and Sales. Based on my work experience I have decided to go for a Masters Degree in any Business related field since I have decided to continue in that career path.

However, I have search seriously for a university in the USA that I can apply to but almost all the schools I have applied to will revert with " Your admission was not successful REASON...YOUR GPA IS TOO LOW."

Please I really need suggestion of schools that I will likely be considered for admission in the USA considering my CGPA

Try Bowie State University in Maryland, their minimum GPA is 2.5 but they do give condition admission for those whose GPA is from 2.0 to 2.49 for masters. And your GPA isn't 2.2 in the scale of 4 if it's 2.76, when you evaluate it with WES, SpanTran etc it will increase 2.4+.
Thanks

Good Morning Gurus and everyone out here doing a great job.

My appointment confirmation number reads the DS160 number from my 1st Appointment which was in October, 2021 and it differs from what is on my current DS160.

How do I go about fixing it, my 2nd appointment is scheduled for December, 2021.

Thank you.
Please update the recent DS160 number on your CGI before 3 days to your interview date.

Great! I never knew Fall admissions come this early, since the start dates are usually August/September.

I'll encourage my friend to hurry and complete her application.

Thanks once again.

Hello, Please check your PM

Phaithy:
I also got my visa approved today at the Lagos embassy as at 7:40am.
I want to give God all the glory for his mercies and letting my hard-work pay off. I had a lot of fears before my interview because my sponsor stays in the same state I’ll be going for my studies, I have a BA Degree in history and I’m going for my Masters in Supply chain management and also I have been denied the b1/b2 visa twice in 2017 but to the glory of God today, I wasn’t even asked a lot of questions. I barely spent 2 minutes with the VO that interviewed me.

NO TA/Funding
University of Houston
Masters of Science in SCM
Tuition for a year: 44,000 (fully paid for)

VO: why are you going to the US?
Me: I’m going for my masters of science in supply chain management at the university of Houston.

VO: I don’t understand what’s on your 1-20 it says management science
Me: It’s stated as management science under the school sevis ID

He was typing seriously and I kept looking at him.

VO: Tell me about this program
Me: UH masters of science is a non thesis 30 credit hours designed to be completed in 24 months and I’ll be (cuts in)

VO: why did you choose this school?
Me: I chose this school because I’m impressed with the fact the professors in this department integrate (Cuts in again)

VO: How long have you worked in this field?
Me: 3 years and counting

VO:How did you find out about the school?
Me; I found out about the school through my former boss

VO; what’s the name of the company
Me: Company xyz

VO: who is your sponsor?
Me: my uncle xyz. He’s an engineer and works with Xyz and he has also payed for my tuition and accommodation

VO: okay( went quite for some seconds looking around then he handed me the white paper). Take this with your at the POE if not there will be big wahala.

Me: Thank you sir with a big smile on my face.

Posting again, please someone help me

Hello guys, please can someone look at my transcript and help me figure out what I am doing wrong. I have been denied three times. I had my third interview today at the Lagos embassy. The first time I went, I got admission to the University of Bridgeport and my uncle and mom were sponsors. The VO asked me what my uncle does which I answered that he is a medical doctor and has his own clinic, he also has stores where he sells phones and gadgets. The VO then asked how much my uncle made which I think was where I made a mistake by telling him he makes 8 million a year. I was then denied. The second time, I put my uncle as a sponsor again on my DS160 and at the interview said it was my uncle and my mom. The VO asked me what they did, and I said my uncle’s profession and that my mom is an external auditor and has a wholesale foodstuffs shop, I got denied again. This third time, I changed school because I finally got admission to SCSU with a 40% scholarship and I also changed my sponsor on DS160 to my mom. I was preparing to convince the VO of the reason why I switched school and my sponsor but to my surprise, the VO didn’t ask me anything related to that. He just asked why I am studying biomedical science, who is paying my deficit, and what my mother does. No question to show proof of statement or anything. Just denied. Please can someone advise me?

Good morning all

After Visa refusal, do I need to fill a new DS160 to be able to reschedule a new appointment?
I tried scheduling an appointment, I am seeing February 2023, Should i schedule and apply for EA?

NB: My visa was refused on 3rd of November 2021
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Gent2nice: 8:06am On Nov 08, 2021
Huh. Very sorry about the delay. With that Feb 2023, it's obvious you are using Abuja. If you want to book another appointment, choose Lagos because I learnt it does not have that option of previously denied in two months and regular. So you should be able to see their regular dates. And perhaps you may get EA approved.
If however u want Abuja, wait to use the regular option (after two months, smile) because that two months option will bring you no favourable date.

Good morning.
Please, is it really compulsory or necessary to have a job before applying for visa? I completed my service last year and I haven't been able to get a job. I currently do fashion designing. I am applying for social work to resume Jan. Interview is in Dec.
From transcripts, I see a lot of "what do you do?" questions
Please help.

Pls i need guidance on my immigration journey to usa. I want to confirm, in order to avoid the chances of being denied, should i pursue masters in Administrative assistant or in the education or in chemistry. Just to avoid being denied. I work as an admin assistant and i graduated with 2:2 at unilag. I studied chemistry education. I would have prefer chemistry because of funding, but if i switch to chemistry have graduated since 2016 and working as an admin assistant since 2017 till date, pls do you think it will be questioned and in the process be denied visa. Should i go for msc chemistry or look for something related to my job? Pls guys help me
Hello everyone, Thank you all for your contributions, God bless you all.
Please I have some questions and I believe you guys would help out.

I got denied on August 17th and immediately payed and I got another date for February 9th 2022, I emailed the school immediately to defer my admission to Fall 2022 and they did. I messaged the school for my updated 1-20 so I can take it for my interview and they responded that I can’t go for an interview until 120 days before the start of my program and that they can’t issue a fall 2022 1-20 till February 2022,

My thought Is that I can go for my interview at any time, so far the visa only becomes valid once it’s 30 days to the beginning of my program, the possibility of me getting an updated 1-20 is low and meeting up with my interview date is important.

Please if my program start date is by Fall 2022, will I be able to go for my interview by early February considering it’s beyond 120 days to the start of my program.

I also don’t know how to explain to the school again that the updated 1-20 is important for my interview, I definitely cannot go with my previous 1-20.

Please you guys should give me suggestions on what to do…Thank you all

Please you people should help me.

Hi.
Just reschedule your appointment to a date that falls within the 120days timeframe. You should have deferred to Spring session instead of Fall,2022.
Check the reschedule option and look out for any date in May. The school would send the I-20 before that time.
