It’s cool. Tho still the hottest spot in Southern Borno. The only location with humanitarian presence I’ll never advise my enemy to even step a foot is Rann, Kala-Balge LGA.

Your expectations and mine are on completely different LEVELS.

The NA is probably close to 200, 000 personal. And we can project to assume we have probably 150, 000 combatants with at least 100,000 on active duty on multiple fronts across Nigeria.

How many Armoured vehicles on different variations fo we need certainly not hundreds but thousands..

200 MRAPS is literally a drop in the ocean.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT ALL.

More are still coming, we have hundreds of APC and MRAPs acquired over the years, before this one and I believe more will still come.
We literally signed a defence deal with Russia and Turkey recently, we are on the right track.

We as Nigerians quickly forget our past.

Any goddam new procurement of vehicles, we celebrate blindly without careful deep thinking.

So we celebrated 43 T-72 tanks 7 years ago but today 7 years after celebration, Nigeria's insecurity is worse.

All these unarmed light armoured vehicles without guns long range night vision sensors, will be fitted with same old DShK or W85 that has failed to give security to all 36 states and FCT.

320 unarmed STANAG 1 & STANAG 2 vehicles are not war winners. You may keep celebrating like this for another 20 years. They turn you to their drummer boy dancers while big men get rich from each procurement grin

All these 100 Dongfeng, 100 Bigfoot, 60 Legion, 60 Type 89 tracked are simply replacements for heavy attrition losses Nigerian Army is suffering for Steyr APC tracked, MTLB tracked, MRAPs of Bigfoot, Caiman, REVA, etc destroyed by IED, RPG, DShK, etc. You need to visit Nigerian Army scrap vehicle bone yard or Zamfara to Borno terrain graveyard of destroyed NA armoured vehicles to see how many vehicles we have lost to enemy action.

Tuareg & Tebu Mali Bandits, Kanuri Boko Haram, Sahel & Sahara ISWAP, Senegal & Nigér Fulani Bandits have already done infantry tactical flanking maneuver turn corner sidetrack & bypass Nigerian Army containment barrier troop battalions to invade reach Kaduna, Benue, Niger, Abuja, down to Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, they now have access to all our 36 states & FCT.

Like ISOTREX Phantom and KIA KLTV failed, so Dongfeng with DShK will NOT save us in our 923,000 km² land mass giant size, we need new armoured vehicles in several thousands spread across all 774 local government areas to trully end insecurity nationwide.

This is just - 320 + 320 = 0 Progress

There are some people that just never see anything good with what anyone is doing, it's not as if they are bitter, it is just who they are, they consistently look for what to criticize in everything. Once you identify people like that, you won't really have any issue with them.

Call it pull down whatever if you wish, but only a joker will celebrate 100 Dongfeng unarmed vehicles as solution to this endless war and PKM + RPG Tuaregs on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that in 1980s Nigerians travel midnight without fear of killers. Its senseless to roll out drums and dance every 6 months that 100 vehicles are procured by FGN.

If FGN takes delivery of 1,000 LandCruiser with KPV 14.5mm & 1,000 VN22 IFV & 1,000 ZBD-03 & 1,000 REVA MKIII then we all know dis war will end in 6 months with saturation of security presence in all our 774 LGA. That is the one and ONLY way to secure a Nigeria that has unprotected porous borders open to poverty hungry bloodthirsty machine gun and rocket grenade armed fearless killers.

Shout those 4,000 vehicles are expensive billions of dollars, but what is the life of 200 million Nigerians worth? If we are Europeans with smart brain of White men will we celebrate 100 Dongfengs unarmed, as if we got 1,000 Boxer IFVs ?

We don't need to dance for every ineffective procurement, we need to dance for what will make us Nigerians able to travel from Lagos tru Kaduna to Maiduguri in 16 hours without armed escort and arrive home alive without fear in the 1990s.

Maybe you are too young to know the safe Nigeria we know, your generation grew up to know Niger Delta Militants, Boko Haram, and killer Fulani Herdsmen plus Bandit with RPG

There are Nigerians who are better with solutions than those buying us hundreds of unarmed vehicles that are night blind in combat without night vision in an asymmetric war where ISR is key to victory. Those Nigerians are bold enough to continue criticizing Nigerian decision makers until they do the right thing, and those Nigerians will be honest enough to start praising them once our leaders get it right.

There are also Nigerians who are mediocres and our elite decision makers are very happy those people cannot think their way out of an 11 year old war of insecurity that started in Borno and has spread to all 36 states under the watch of Nigerian billionaire Government officials, politicians.

Bro....please increase the volume louder...some.fools would now be tagging you as unpatriotic....!!!

Where is the progress there when people are still been picked from their bedroom at the thick of the night for ransome payment?

A friend just sent me an update of a guy who came outside to pee with only towel tied around his waist and the wife was waiting for him to come back only for him to be picked...he had to sell his car to be free....infact the guys who picked him even laid ambush for another whose generator was on so once he comes out to off they would pick him up also....!!

When we are able to sleep comfortably at night without the fear of been picked from our bedroom and also able to travel across our highways without been picked or harrased cos one practice certain religion then we can roll out the drums for merriment...!!!

All these procurements people here are jumping up and down celebrating on are just more cash to some elements who are benefitting from these damn war....!!

I just wonder how some Nigerians think. ..!!! They don't ask question..they simply take and swallow anything thrown at them cos that's their own definition of been patriotic...!!

Yesterday, certain ISWAP elements attempted to ambush and hijack a supply column moving towards supercamp Ngamdu, fortunately, the military was already aware of the planned attack and quick reaction team was quickly mobilized, air support was also provided and the attack was quickly repelled and the terrorist chased. However, one conqueror MRAP had a minor accident and caught fire, it was eventually recovered.

It is important that the military reinforce the destruction of military hardwares if ever they are going to be abandoned, there is need to continually make ISWAP attacks fruitless.

No of the platforms you mentioned has failed. This is nonsense.

The problem you identified is clear, the NA armored 4x4 fleet became a Zoo because every year a new type of 4x4 will be acquired and introduced. What is needed is a platform which the NA should commit and then procure in significant numbers by a multi-year procurement plan.
