According to Rohr the 4-2-3-1 formation works best for us and playing the devil's advocate that formation worked quite well for during the 2018 WC and 2019 AFCON qualifiers. The few times we used the very effective 3-5-2 we were quite productive from an attacking point of view.

Question for the analysts in the house what is it about using 4-2-3-1 that seems to hamper our attack compared to 3-5-2. Or it a question of playing personnel not fit for purpose or type of tactics deployed by the opposition?

4 - 2 - 3 - 1 Formation is mostly used by average Managers/Coaches, especially if it is made a default. A Tactically sound Manager/Coach shouldn't be predictable with his Formation or Lineup.
