I submitted Ielts (overall band 8.0) but didn’t have mbs as my dad the sponsor doesn’t really keep his money in normal banks. We used two fixed deposit certificates of 15m and 10m to be accessible in January 2022. We also used his savings bank account closing balance of 5m (lump sums deposit) explained it as a sale of a land because my dad’s business is into real estate. Also my mum transferred 1million to my account too and explained it as “Funds to study in canada”.
-Submitted about 5/6 land documents
-Cac of fathers company which also my name is included.
-Tution deposit receipt 10k cad
-Family photos
-Bsc certificate.
-Olevel results
-Nysc certificate
-recommendation letter from my PPA where i served
-Affidavit of sponsorship signed by Dad
-Sop written by myself.
-Police character
-LOA
-CV
-Also i added all the trainings i did after nysc. Computer training for 3-months to cover the gap as adviced by the agents lol
I don’t know what else I’m missing sha. I used an agency tho but i was able to monitor my application closely thanks to this thread.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far on this journey. This thread really helped me out. Special thanks to @Makano for Going through my response to the pfl and making some corrections for me

And to everyone waiting for PPR we will all rejoice. God bless everyone .

That's the reality about travelling to Canada many never reveal.

Initially, the stay gulps money. But once you find a job that pays alright, you'll be fine.

Hello roberto

1. Your Biometrics is valid for 10 years, so you have no business going to Lagos(VFS) as you can apply online from anywhere...

2. If you wanna apply now, why not. I will advise you to apply now so far your LOA is ready.. When your Visa is out, you will have sufficient and adequate time to prepare before leaving your fatherland..

Peace

Middle name should not be an issue...
Except there's something to it.

Apart from full name on statement of account, there's always Home address there too.
So you should be fine if it's your account and not some similar name sumchin wink

I think this Ethiopia crisis is all false as it's just Western media propaganda. As Ethiopians who're on ground said everything you're seeing in the news is just propaganda.

Aside that,Airports are always kept safe.Even in Afghanistan. Kabul airport is very safe till date. There is peace in Adis Ababa and its safer than Imo state as I speak

Yes they are really expensive. I guess you booked Ethiopian before the issues.. hopefully by December, it should be sorted but still if you were to book now, would you still book them in the midst of a crises But omo, their rate is too enticing compared to the others...

Adiss Ababa is very safe.I did a little research. aside that, nobody targets International airport during conflicts like this including even terrorists cos the whole world will come 4 u.The problem is internal not terrorism. it's a Civil war that started since last year November. no b now the war start

Hello Great People,

First of all, I want to thank everyone on this platform for the knowledge sharing. With God and the info on this great platform made it happen!

I got an ITA from Saskatchewan in 2019; I submitted my application but was rejected based on settlement funds. This was so painful because I had the money, but I transferred it to an investment account and failed to include LOE in the application. The key learning for me is that" ALWAYS EXPLAIN EVERY SITUATION TO THE VISA OFFICER AND DON"T ASSUME THAT THEY UNDERSTAND."

Fortunately for me, I received another ITA the same month (Feb 2021), the same month I got the rejection letter, which the process is still ongoing, and I'm hopeful for a nomination before the end of the year.

Not having all my eggs in one basket, I applied to Humber and Centennial College and got admission to both Colleges. I decided to go with Humber College.

I reached to an agent in Toronto to assist with the Visa application (Study visa + Visit visa for my spouse and two kids). He quoted $1,500 for a study visa and advised that I go first, and in three months, I can apply for my spouse (Open work permit) and kids (visit visa). Because I didn't want to leave my spouse and kids behind, I decided to DIY for my study visa and visit visa, for my spouse and kids - which I strongly emphasized the need for my family to accompany me for one month in my SOP.

Confirmation of Online Transmission: May 12, 2021
Submission Confirmation:May 12, 2021
Biometrics Letter Collection: September 27, 2021
Correspondence Letter for study visa: September 28, 2021
Original Passport Request: September 28, 2021
Original Passport Request for spouse: October 5, 2021
Original Passport request for kids: October 6, 2021

I was banned in the UK for ten years and the ban will expire next year, February - an agent messed up my application.

My spouse wrote my SOP, and we worked and prayed together. I am so happy that I did the application myself without paying money to anybody.

QUESTION: I plan to change my spouse's visit visa to a work permit once we land. How should I go about it? Is it advisable to do an upfront medical and take the sheet along to Canada for the application? Or, can she do flagpoling? If yes, how should we go about it?

Thank you.
we thank God 4 everything. please dont try to change a Visit Visa to work Visa.i heared IRCC always frown against it.if u want SOWP, let ur spouse leave after one month.ur kids can actually school on visitors Visa since u have temporal residency Visa nd ur study permit. make sure ur wife does not overstay her Visa.try not to jeopardize ur PGWP in future cos that one na d koko

Hello All, I need urgent help. Though this might not be the best forum but it is my last resort as I am unable to reach VFS via phone or receive any response from mail. My dad's visit visa has been approved and he is not a resident in Lagos but he already sent his passport to a family in Lagos. I need guidance on how to get his passport submitted, including fees to be paid to VFS. Thank you.
