Good. smiley

MasterRahl just keep a calendar and mark the dates. I have stopped 365+151 days and counting now... Not easy but worth the fight.

Same goes for any addiction. You fight, fall, pick up yourself and fight again. Sooner or later it becomes nothing to you. Soda is no-no for me.

Also try to let people know that you are fighting an addiction. It helps too. My uncle knows I'm hooked to soda because we play ball together so it's almost the same for us (two bottles of soda everyday). Whenever I visit him, I remind him that I've stopped. He got used to it and stopped offering me. Previously he used to mock me but I wasn't bothered.

The change starts with you. And please Pepsi doesn't cause diabetes. Don't mind ChiefSosa cheesy grin

Good evening Nairalanders. So, I've been a chronic Pepsi addict over the years. I usually take two plastic bottles daily. One during breakfast, and one at night.

I usually take it alongside rice, noodles, any food eaten with spoon. I'm 27. Three years from now, I'll be 30, meaning I'm on my way to middle age.

I've decided to stop drinking it. It's hard but I will try. I now take my food with very chilled water.

I need tips on how to win the fight over my addiction to Pepsi. Today is Day 1. I'm writing this post by 11:30pm, and I've not taken any Pepsi today.

Well, switch to the non-calorie alternative, and then reduce it to one a day, then one every 2 days, and in the meantime, drink more and more water instead.

I think you are embarking on a great journey. I myself have hopefully broken my addiction to sugary drinks. Now focusing on getting rid of the diet soda!

Sugary drinks are unhealthy...even if it is just 'one bottle'.

Goodluck on your challenge. Sugar is one of the most addictive substances. You may think you are running away from a bottle of Pepsi/Coca-Cola but you will sooner than later find out that you have only replaced it with another sugar-laden fizzy drink cheesy

. Even the very chilled water you are using to take your meals isn't good for your health. It makes the oil and fat in the food to congeal on your stomach and intestines, giving rise to unhealthy fats linning your intestines and stomach. Very bad and can aid cancerous tumor and inhibit proper digestion of food. It can also give rise to other health issues. EAT YOUR FOOD WITH LUKEWARM WATER OR WATER AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.

The best way to get rid of an addiction is to replace it with a healthier one. I honestly doubt if I've tasted Pepsi or coke this year, I usually buy ingredients for zobo, make them and fill up my fridge with it. You can try zobo also, then customise it to your taste.

I'm also totally addicted, though, mine is LaCasera and Dudu fruit drink and malt vanilla.

I take them because I barely have enough time to cook in the morning, so they suffice as my breakfast or even dinner(Dudu fruit drink). I'm trying to break the addiction cus it's making me spend way out of budget.

Buy dissolvable vitamins, the one you put in water. Substitute pepsi for it. It’ll make your addiction profitable. Trust me cheesy

If I can, you can! I don't take carbonated drinks again! I want to enjoy my old age and I'm sure you too want to enjoy old age without running to and fro the hospital!
Everyday I look at what diabetes deprives my mum and her sisters and knowing that it's hereditary, I had to rethink.
I don't give my kids those stuff to school. I rather make zobo or smoothie.
Now I'm working on reducing sugar and salt intake.

I have thesame issue (don't know if to say 'had'). I decided since the 31st of last month to not drink Pepsi or any other soda and I've tried to discipline myself. Today makes it 12 days since I haven't had Pepsi and it's a big deal for me.

Just try to put pepsi away and drink water instead. Also try to avoid meals that you know you wouldn't like to take without Pepsi, say snacks for example. For the meals you can't avoid, try to use water of any fruit juice. I hope this helps.

Writing about it will fuel yiur desire for it the more. Better to just shut up about it and maintain the abstinence.

You won't be able to stop at once, trust me. But you can start by reducing it to once a day then once in two days then once a week and your system will adjust gradually

He can if he wants to. I stopped at once. I'm no superhuman. He can.

Same here too. I'm trying to break the addiction to taking coke(very chilled), almost everyday. The thing is that if i don't take a cold drink, it won't settle down well for me while eating.

Interesting, but stay clear off cold drinks after meal. You can do that however it shouldn't be after meal preferably hot meals.

I find this post very funny, maybe because I can relate.
Stopping at once is hardly possible. It didn't work for me. I still ended up going back to drinking Pepsi.

So, I started with one day on, one day off. And moved to one day on, two days off. I still take it, but I'm no longer addicted. I can go weeks without it now.
You should start by not buying in packs and storing in your fridge. Because with that, you can even drink it at midnight.
These drinks just take your money and store up sickness for you. Far from healthy!!!

I was once addicted to Pepsi too while I was in uni back then, I could take three sometimes, two bottles in school and one at dinner and this continued even till NYSC. This contributed to my size but determination and the grace of God made me stop but not totally, now I don't even like Pepsi but I still take other ones occasionally.
Bro you can do, just be determined.
