Now tell me that if Sweden makes it to the World Cup Ibra won’t be starting as a 41 year old grin

The point is choose quality over age. If the player is 62 and is better than all the players in the squad, he should play. If he is 16 and better than the others he should play.

Don't choose a player because of age or history but the quality he brings to the table.

The point is so simple but you people will keep misunderstanding it. So how does your comment contradict the point?

In 2014 World Cup, Yepes was my best defender. He was a total joy to watch even though he was between 39 and 40.

Phillip Lahm made his debut at 20 years old for Germany and shone like a million stars. He was not just the best defensive player but won the man of the match. At 20 years for a team like Germany.

Over the years, he was still a class above all the players. At the age of thirty, he was the captain and a key player for Germany when they lifted the World cup.

It is about quality, not age.

If a player is older and not as good as the younger player, you are doing the team a disservice. Selection should be strictly about quality, not age.

I bet you that it wil be had for a Nigerian player to make the bench with this kind of squad

I am not hating. Just stating facts
Are you blind to see that both Ndidi and Osimhen actually topped their positions? Or you were just looking for cheap likes?

yet 2 of our players make the list, and in no 1, of their positions,
3 actually made the list.
The list includes Iheancho also and I believe so well that comes the end of this season, players like Awoniyi and maybe Ejuke will be added to this list and next season, Maduka and Onyeka might join also

In a continent of more than 40 countries, 3 Nigerians made the list with 2 topping their positions...that one nor reach for una? Or you were expecting all the players to come from Nigeria?

Yup. Their soccer pitches are definitely up to standard unlike most African countries. I just can’t understand why other African countries, besides Morocco and South Africa, can’t maintain a good soccer pitch.

Anyway, the boys have no excuse not to win on Saturday.

Something I have come to noticed about a lot of Nigerians is that they are so negative in their thinking and anything that has to do with Nigeria to them is always bad. That's why these people always sees bad inside good when it concerns Nigeria.

Just look at Senegal with all the so called Reims, Metz and Ajaccio Superstars that are praised here currently losing to Togo but these same people over here will tell you with these players Senegal can even win the WC while Nigeria won't qualify

Na only Africans dey do am ?
Which one be Africa Mentality?
I would have also supported it if Nigeria had qualified. Players like Amoo, Nwakali , Sadiq Umar even Nwakaeme etc needs to be used in a dead rubber game .

This is not an excuse. Are they playing with their supposed top stars that a lot praises and worship here? And even if they aren't playing with their top stars which isn't the case here in today's game, it will be on record that Senagal lost to Togo

The fellow that made the claim is well known for dissing our players here... Best to ignore them...

Frankly, the only two countries that give concern are Algeria and, to a lesser extent, Senegal. I like our chances against any other country including Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.

If we meet Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, Mali, our Forwards will need to be extra clinical with any slim chances they see. For now they still seem wasteful in GWG.

Ghana must defeat South Africa this Sunday by a margin of at least three goals to see themselves through. A win will bring them to level with Bafana Bafana after which they must win by a goal difference of more than 2.
even 1 nil is enough because fifa make use of goal difference then total goal before head to head
