Good morning guys, been a while I came around here as I have been focusing on other things. Please I need your help/contributions. I’ve been receiving offers for one of my domain from sedo. The problem is I sold the domain sometime last year and completely forgot to delist it from Sedo as it sold on another MP, the buyer never redirected it to his site, I tried contacting him severally if he needed help with that but he never responded, now the domain has expired and i keep getting Godaddy emails for renewal, the domis not in my Godaddy portfolio but my details is still what is on whois. I ignored all the previous offers because the domain was not in my possession and it will be wrong to try to renew it when it’s not expired at least.

The buyer has sent a final offer which is the set BIN I listed it for, now is there a way I can renew the domain and bring it back to my Godaddy portfolio first or it’s an illegal thing to do?

Even after u renew, the name won’t be moved to ur account.. the emails u receive are just courtesy reminder, since ur details still reflect on the whois.
Best is to keep tracking the name till it drops

I think they’re sending you emails to renew cause you registered it but it’s in another person's possession now. Best you can do is back order the name.

For your domain, which business do you think they can use 'offyellow' for? That doesn't mean it can't sell. List in various marketplace and continue/start reading this thread.

If you are domaining and things aren't going the way you hoped, do not just waste time, acquire more skills in other fields.

You can learn to code, you learn to design apps and websites... companies are picking up Nigerians who do some of these things and when u eventually have enough money, you can then come back to domaining.

What I do are looking for the type of domains that are trendy in market such cloud, vr, crypto, holo, drone, insurance, and cabinetry though cabinetry is not as such trendy but it is a good niche that sells any day any time.I do this on both hand reg and at expire domains. The next thing I do before buying is to look at what are the quoted and unquoted search "volume on Google" I have a set down cut off for every niche. I also visit auctions to see what are going fast in the market to adjust my interest. I also take a lot of what I will call reasonable risks in my opinion. Without taking sensible risks you can.not make it in domain name biz

Seriously, this business is not that hard if you are ready to learn.
Take note:
Domain flipping is not a get rich quick business. It takes times. Don't expect too much in the beginning.

You need knowledge. You can do that by reading this thread or contact op for training (not free).
Start practicing what you learned. Don't register more than 2 domain at a time so that your portfolio won't be fill with domain that nobody will buy.

I only know Flex and I have done 2 challenges that required only html and css on frontend mentors.

Also on javascript now.

You can't know all css my dear brother. I only learn the basic for now and I believe I will learn more as I dive into solving different challenges.
