Let's put emotions aside and analyze the situation. She was living in ivory coast illegally using a false identity. That's a serious offence in sane countries. Knowing her status in that country, she should have avoided the police station by all means. The relative of the boy that stole from her wanted to compensate her so she wouldn't press charges, she should have just collected the settlement and continued with her business. Her insistence on reporting to the police by all means sealed her fate. As much as I sympathize with the deceased and her loved ones, the fact remains that she is to blame for her woes not the government
