Their is nothing concern change of name with visa process, if you change your name and you don't have evidence of marriage like marriage certificate is useless. Most important thing is to prove your marriage....

Good day all.. I am in desperate like this.. On the 8th of September I went to immigration office in awka anambra state to do my passport.. Today being the 17th of November its not yet out.. I have been to the office twice.. Even made calls to a man I met in his office the day I went there, they are just telling me stories.. Now the man said that if I can not wait till the end of December for the passport, that Abuja office is the only place where I can go to redo it so he will refund me my money and I will go there.. So my problem now is this.. Can I really go to Abuja office and redo the passport.. If yes.. How is it done please. I love to have contact of someone there who can properly direct me on how it's done....thanks

There was message sent to me to come for capturing,
5 days after I applied for it, but no message was sent to me for collection/pick up, I just kept going on my own. Till eventually I got it.

I captured first week of September, up till now, no show. I called an officer for updates, he told me that if I haven't gotten any text from them, I will get it in two weeks time, to come collect the passport.

I captured since August 10th in warri till now passport still not ready, I even wrote to immigration fb all I was told was that soon it will be out,, I tire for this country,,, the most painful thing was that I used a high ranking agent..warri office just doing highest bidder service..it's terrible

If you are in a hurry and you have the strength and the financial muscle to go to Abuja then feel free to go.

But I will advice you to exercise patience give them like a week or two tops it should be available.

Sometimes it may even be available but the immigration guys are too lazy to check mine came much early than they said it came.

Same thing with post office sometimes I'll be there and mail are still stacked un sorted and I know my parcel is amongst them but the nipost workers will say go and come back another day, we no go fit go through that thing now.

That's how govmt work in naija is

So just chill some weeks or latest one month after whenever you were told to come back for it.

The man is lieing to you except if you have not captured but if you have captured, he can't refund you your money because he can't just. I'm very sure of that, even people that captured for 32pages that wanted to change to 64pages set find it difficult because of the capturing not to talk of refund..... But if you are yet to capture, I will even advice you to collect your money back if it is urgent because that ending of next year he gave you is just to sooth you, it may linger till march next year.....

Though i cant say what their criteria is 'cos while there, i still met people who captured in June. however i noticed people just randomly came to check, as they were tired of just waiting endlessly. And yes its 100% DIY, took me awhile to get captured, its the dreaded Ikoyi Passport Office, and no it didnt take till January 2022 (for 32pages) as someone posted earlier, 'cos a lot of people who picked up today, that i saw, all had 32pages. hope this helps someone sha.

I captured in August. I think ill go check tomorrow to see if mine is ready. It has passed the collection date on the slip.

Hello guys, I did my capturing at Alausa for 32 pages 5 years DIY renewal on 4th October, but I'm not in Lagos to check if it's ready for pick -up and all of my contacts are working so they cannot check for me. Is there anyone here who did capturing on or after 4th October that has gotten theirs? Or if you know anyone who did capturing on or after 4th October that has gotten theirs? Thank you. O have tried messaging the facebook page but they didn't reply after seeing it.

Finally I was able to capture today. If all your documents is intact u gat no issue, buh if not trust me they'll bounce on u cos it's DIY.

For fresh application kindly note the requirements:
*Application verification form (given by Servicom)
*Application form online (2 passport photograph)
*Passport payment slip (2)
*Acknowledgments slip
*NIN slip (photocopy and original)
*DOB certificate (photocopy and original)
*State of origin certificate (p & o)
*Guarantor form filled & stamped by court (attach ur guarantor's passport photograph stamped together with the form)
*Data page of guarantor photocopy
*NIN slip of guarantor photocopy
*Verification form (given by Servicom).

Hello, I have been reading this with a bit of skepticism. The online processing cost 25k for Renewal but I have fears that collecting the thing may be a big challenge, Please can someone help me understand what the issue is with processing it online?

I went to the Alausa Passport office today, and when i was about entering into the compound, an immigration officer asked me weather i have an in-house person I plan to go and meet, I told him NO. So he said he can help me, he told me the passport cost 27k for people from 18 years old - 60. he also told me i will need a guarantor, proof of age, local government form or so, birth certificate and 3 passport photograph. he said i need to make the person via online instantly before the online payment portal closes again due to rainfall. I was skeptical and wanted to do some verification from people who have gotten a passport. so i told him i need to make withdrawal with my atm card. that was how i discharge. please peepz, gimme info and requirement for obtaining a nigeria passport. I dont trust those immigration people. thanks in anticipation

No. Your maiden name is as valid as your marital name. I am still using my maiden name. Make sure that on your children's birth certificate, their mother's name(that's your name) is your maiden name. You are good to go.

Will she be denied visa because she didn't change name, NO.

Some people don't change their name but on kid's BC, they use hubby's surname and it's not correct(someone I know did this). I guess those birth certificate women make people use their marital name. So I called her attention to it.

Page 4 to 34 are the only pages that can be stamped so to me it's actually 30 pages

And date of issue on the passport is 21st of August.

I'm tired of those guys at ikoyi passport office, I have captured since July, each I go there it's the same story that it's not available yet. I'm just praying it's ready the next time I go next week or else I will be creating a big scene in that office

I won't be hearing the same story of there's no 32page passport booklets cos it's been almost 5months!!!
