still trying to make sense of this cos logistically it should cost more to transport PMS to the North than to South East unless the government is subsidizing the freight cost. That's the only logical and sane answer. Anyway when it comes to Nigeria I stopped being rational.

I was born in the North had my formative years. Served in Yobe and lived there for a while before migrating again to the SW. During my nysc year and few years afterward that I stayed behind I travelled a lot between the East and Yobe up to Maiduguri. The number of police check point from onitsha Park to obolo afor is more than you would find between Benue to Maiduguri.

I don't know how it is recently but given the security situation I would think you would find military check point up north rather than police check points. We all know that the chief extortionist is the police.
