Side hustle for those in IT. There are also vacancies in Health & Social Care, Applied Science and Criminology. It's for developing assessments for iGCSEs.

If you work in the sector, you can also mark the exams twice a year (each script is paid at £3.89) and a £50 admin fee per 20 scripts. I marked 600 scripts over 6 weeks in June - very good side change as I just mark as and when I want to - mainly in the evenings and weekends and all on my PC.

Can students do this also as side hustle in addendum to their 20hrs work schedule or just do it only

Thank you, but can one take Manchester because from Lagos to Birmingham flight is very expensive while Manchester is lesser. Birmingham is N639,000 while Manchester is 434,000. Kindly advise. Thank you

You also need to factor in the stress if you want to use Manchester. Also, depends on your load. You might not be able to carry all your load into a train. Hence, you are limited to getting a cab. Train tickets range from £28-£35 for off peak periods. Cab will cost over £100.
Do the maths and go for the one that pays you.

Go to Money Saving Expert - Credit Cards and Loans section. It will guide you as to which cards to apply for and you can even check your eligibility and chances of being accepted for different cards. Capital One often has low limits (not necessarily a bad thing) and very very high interest rates (a bad thing). See link below for MSE

do you have insurance on your phone or with your bank account? you might be able to make a claim instead of paying out of pocket

Those are good places to look but you have no protection from facebook marketplace. Also avoid gumtree for things like that- you them on bulk items or service you can pay after- there are not intermediaries just you and the seller going back and forth if something goes wrong

Ebay, CeX, Vinted?

I have a child below 3 years and I am moving as a skilled worker to Scotland. Got a job in and I am still deciding on my movement. My question is, how visible and how cheap is their nursery there. Do skilled workers get any government benefits? I contacted some schools and got responses of £195 weekly. My salary don dey finish be that ohh. And tax over there is crazy. Phew. Also, Is there any free school or government school?. I am paying tax now and what it's going to be removed from my salary are somehow exorbitant
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by omopapa: 3:06pm On Nov 22, 2021
Yea you can enter via Manchester too.
There’s a train from Manchester to wolves. There’s also national express coache or you
Can get someone to pick you up. They normally charge about £100-150 maximum for airport pick up/drop off. It’s the most expensive but most convenient especially if you have baggages. Let me
Know if you need someone to pick you up.

For those of you trading cryptos on Binance, to unknown customers....... BE CAREFUL.......

A legitimate seller based in the UK, sold cryptos on Binance, to people based in the UK.....

They claimed the seller scammed them on a telegram group, and claimed a chargeback .........

Seller is almost out of pocket for £10,000...........

NB : Same scamming techniques, can be adopted over aboki transactions......

195 works out less than £40 a day for 5 days a week. That is a steal and a great deal. .. There is no cheap childcare. That word doesn't exist and no government benefits for a non citizen who just came and there is no free school for under 3 for someone who just came

If you have a spouse then you can work around each other schedule... or start bracing yourself to accept that the reality of living in the Uk

Hello everyone,

I am heading to Bristol, I have been searching for a flight from lagos to london. I cant seem to get and afforable direct flight o... so I started looking at the ones with stops... then I saw the below statement:

"You need an (airport) transit visa if you are travelling to or from the United Kingdom. If you have a transfer in 2 or more Schengen countries, you may also need a Schengen visa. Check the latest entry requirements for your trip in TravelDoc shortly before departure as the requirements change regularly".

Abeg, does it mean I need a transit visa? if yes how do I get one? My current visa is a dependent visa.

Pls it urgent, before this christmas rush stop me

Why not use the airlines you don't need a transit visa for. Transit is between 40 to 50k and takes two days.

You could always stay back in Nigeria and not pay [much] tax.
Nothing is free.
