Actually that's the MP of my school. They refused to assist since I started mailing them but this time requested for a solicitor
Frankrobbn1:

Search on Google for the list of MP's located within the jurisdiction of your school of choice. You don't need a solicitor to help you make an enquiry on your file.

I don't think you are correct. I got to Regina saskatchewan from Nigeria and I wasn't asked about anything.
Akannitommy:
Hi,

Congrats. Whatever you decide to do make sure your wife arrive in Ontario or another international airport close by (like Montreal for instance). I have heard of students who arrived in airports far away from their location and then got sent back and their visas cancelled. This was a long time ago and got the story from someone who arrived with them at the same time. So that part of staying with your sister is not impossible but don't risk her going straight to Saskatchewan from Nigeria.

I don't know much about the second question but am sure someone else with know and respond.

GbemiBukk:
Hello to everyone and I appreciate every informative contributors on this site.
I applied for study permit since May while pregnant and I am yet to get a reply from IRCC.
Now I don put to bed and would wish I could submit an application for my new baby.
Is it still possible to put in his application while mine is still on review? Would it affect my application? Or should I wait till my application is approved and then put in hers?
Do I need to inform them I have an addition to the family ?
Please I need advise and answers.
Thanks

Hello GbemiBukk,

Wait for your application to be finalized, but there is no harm if you decide to notify IRCC. Reasons are:

• The study permit process is not the same as the Express Entry where failure to notify IRCC of an addition of a new family member may have several consequences.

• It may further prolong your application but you will receive a congratulatory message and you may be asked if you intend to travel with your child, especially if you declare this intent in your notification message.

• You will be required to prove more POF and demonstrate how you intend to balance study and child care. Meaning you have to prove that you are a genuine student without immigration intent.

• Your application may be sent into an active review to re-evaluate your new (application) situation to determine if you meet the eligibility requirements.

If you have sent out enquiry webforms/emails, you should consider requesting your GCMS Notes. Link available on my profile signature.

Best of Luck

Goodday everyone,

Please my mum is my sponsor and I asked her to go to the bank and make payment of 3million with narration “ Canada Tuition Payment “ for my remaining school fees deposit she just called me that she forgot to remind the cashier to put the narration

Please hope this isn’t a problem I am honestly worried.

Hello Stellagabu,

Not a problem as long as you can furnish IRCC with adequate evidence to justify the lump sum. A letter from you and/or your sponsor to explain the purpose of funds, provenance, transfer information, etc. will help address the situation.

Best of Luck

Thanks for the information, our plan is for her to arrive and Ontario get registered and sort out all her documentation with the school, at the commencement of classes she can then relocate to Saskatchewan. I await responses on the possible implications of a change of course before travelling and how it might affect her chances of getting the study permit at the border.

Honestly I don't think this is a good idea... Personally I hate things that will make people doubt my honesty and delay me. Remember the have all your information. The immigration officer I meant was a black woman and she was very mean. But you can try as everyone is different.

@PrinceAdeAde, I can't remember the exact number I reached them on. However, I placed by booking on October 1st (2021). The earliest available date I saw online was 8th of November (IOM Abuja) and 3rd December (IOM Lagos).

I booked for the 8th of November (Abuja) then I called them to reschedule and they changed it to 21st October. Also, they accepted my request to change my test center to Lagos.

You'll be asked to send them a mail with your medical request letter and payment/booking confirmation.

One thing I noticed was that when I got to IOM Lagos for my medicals, some folks booked that very day at the center because they couldn't reach them via phone/email.

So, try and go to their center if you can. I wouldn't have waited 21 days for my medicals if I had known this.

My 2 cents.

Very true, I got a date yesterday in Abuja after I tried booking online, their customer care not going, so I decided to go to IOM in Abuja.

Many people got this week, some got a day after they were booked as long as you have a strong reason and proof that the medical is urgent.

I even heard someone booked yesterday and did his medical yesterday too. It's better one goes to IOM directly if he/she wants a date quicker. As long as you come early.

Bimdaqueen:
Good day @ ALL,

Pls I need help on how to address these concerns raised by the VO.

Hello Bimdaqueen,

You should consider restructuring your résumé to suit linear economic and voluntary activities. Given you have a certificate in education and exposure in social studies, sign language, and teaching experience; PGD in Autism & Behavioural Science in a College or Master in Education – Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning in University will be a progressive approach to reconnect your career progression after a family break from active professional duties.

Since it's a Sister/Mother sponsorship, ensure to include your spouse's employment or economic information even though you are not including his financial records. You should likewise include yours too. If you have been out of work for a while; use the pandemic, research, voluntary activities, or any part-time engaging activities related to your prospective study. Ensure to supply adequate evidence.

This time, try as much as possible to avoid lump sum deposits and if not, give sufficient justification for it and its provenance. Pay your full year's tuition, open a GIC for your LE or have it secured in your bank account. Demonstrate with proof that your family's well-being is not threatened by your foreign study.

Keynotes:

• Avoid lump sums
• Pay your full tuition
• Include your bank record(s)
• Demonstrate an alternative source of income (optional)
• Close up any study gap(s)
• Use the SOP to explain your study intent, prospects, the benefit of the study, etc.
• Use the LOE to address the refusal ground(s)

n.b. If you have no clue on how to go about writing a construct SOP/LOE or vetting your study plan, check my profile signature for information on how to seek adequate assistance.

Best of Luck

I learnt that this medical report delays VO decision, if its doesn't comes out on time, have since applicant that struggle at this stage for good six months. so its better for me to start doing it now before my admission decision comes out. Really when did transmission fee increase to 9410?! Wow
Jojorito007:

Thanks for your response.
I included our PPR letters. Well I was able to get through with vfs customer care. I was told that I’ll have to pay transmission for my son as well. I also paid 8920 instead 9410 for transmission fee. I immediately did that and send to a friend in Abuja to help me retrieve the parcel in DHL office in Abuja ( I checked and I found out the documents was still in abj)
A friend helped to include the new receipt and then drop the parcel @ same DHL . I pray they deliver 2 morrow

Eilenora:
Hello Guys,

Please I need advise on something o, is it normal for biometrics not to have reflected over a month after submitting an application? My sister did not do biometrics with her application as she already has valid biometrics since 2019 when she applied for visit visa through paper route. She submitted since Oct 16, the only update showing is that background check is in process. No eligibility, no biometrics, nothing. Another strange thing is that when she logs in it always say there is a new message but the only messages there are the confirmation of submission and transmission messages. We have sent webform alongside emails regarding update of her biometrics, no response. Or is it because the 1st one was a paper application? Never experienced this with my own application so am confused, what should she do

Hello Eilenora,

Been a while. This is the recent norm IRCC has come with to tension applicants. I have indirectly witnessed up to 7 cases from people's submissions on my space on Quora.

For some, it stayed up to 13 days before updating whilst some have exceeded a month. My advice was to request the GCMS notes to find out the entry status or comment on the biometrics update. There is a link to request it on my profile just in case it becomes necessary for you to do so. Despite the GcKey timeline not being updated by IRCC does not necessarily mean the biometrics has not to be acknowledged or received. A call through to IRCC will be faster to confirm or enquire on the status update of the biometrics.

This is not an issue to be bothered about. Many applications got approvals even without the GcKey timeline changing.

Stay safe and one love!

Hello everyone, my wife finally got her visa....whoop! whoop!!!
This begins our long route to naturalization....Thanks for all the updates and help received here, yáll made the process seamless.
So with the visa comes some challenges, my wife applied for a 1yr Business Development & Sales PGD program in Conestoga, Ontario which is only offered in September by the school.
The visa she received is from October this year to expire in July 2022, and as school has started with the first semester almost done we are a bit confused with how to proceed. Our thought is to pick a different course in Human resources in January 2022 so she can travel asap, but we are not sure if this will have an adverse effect during her interview with the border officers. If it isnt a big deal then we will apply for that admission immediately. The HR course has an advantage as it allows for online classes, our hope is with this she can be leaving with my sister in Regina, Saskatchewan instead of staying in Ontario, saving us a lot of cost. I need a guide on how to proceed, best if you have or know anyone that had a similar experience. Thanks in advance guys...

Hello Gregoma,

Big congratulations on your spouse's approval. If she changes to HRM from outside Canada, she may not be allowed to board and will be required to reapply. If she is moving between schools to a different province, she is also required to notify IRCC. Failure to do so may impact the outcome of the PGWP.

On a norm, if your permit expires, you are to reapply but the process will not be as stringent as the previous. Reach out to IRCC via a webform and/or email to explain the situation and inform them of your academic calendar and the implication attached (not able to travel) due to the date appended to your passport. Request for an extension coupled with the updated LOA. This is not a professional advice but only a suggestion that could help your spouse's situation. Your reasons should be persuasive.

Best of Luck

Please how can one get a gcms mote to find out the reason for denial

Hello GracefulG,

I can not paste the link due to the rules of the thread, but check my profile signature for the link to request the GCMS notes. The CBSA request option is swifter than the IRCC option. With CBSA, it could take up to 32 – 35 days but with IRCC, it could be more than 75 days.
