Hi everyone, thanks for the info so far.

Please is it normal for a work-sponsored visa application (via health visa) to receive a non straightforward mail?

Lol I said it is.

But you are not a nurse

There are other lower nvq level 2 to 4 jobs in ireland and UK that you dont require a licence do your research before coming here to blab and allow others gain maximum information here. Don't narrow people's chances of getting jobs because of your narrow understanding.

I started working as a mental health support worker even before writing my cbt with my degree so put your dusty information aside

Kindly confirm the country, check if its Ireland, Ireland is not part of UK, only northern Ireland. There's a process called adaptation in Ireland overseas nurses recruitment so it might not be scam but tread with caution.
Fiestafetta:
Good morning people, please permit me to ask a question here in order to save my sister from fraudulent people. I don't know much about the nursing profession so permit me about the terms.

My sister is nurse, I stumbled into one of her files recently and I noticed that she is registering for a regulatory body in UK for her profession through one Nigeria agent, so I discovered that the agent has asked her to pay 1500pounds to a hospital where she will do her adaptation period but the own thing looks fishy to me maybe because it is not my field anyway lols... So when I confronted her, we said that is the way it is in the whole UK for nursing, physician and other health related professional though different amount depending on your field.

Please, I will be very glad if anyone can just confirm it.....

You can't successfully book for the exam on Pearson web site. You need to purchase a voucher via mindhub.co.uk. It's the voucher code you will use to complete the booking on the Pearson website.
In order to buy the voucher, you will need a dollar or pounds account.
Oh so naira card doesn't work for this too? Heard gtbank is now capped at 200usd. Has anybody been successful paying for the cbt with it?

##UPDATE: U can purchase a cbt voucher on mindhub with a gtb maatercard

I'm not a nurse. Wow.. Sorry ooo

So when you're going for verification at nmcn you won't use your license ba. When you're about to write osce you won't show Nigerian license ba. Stop misleading people please. I am talking as a Nurse.

This is why they said yall should write ielts

If simple interpretation of mere statements is your problem then you have some darn issues. I said there are other health jobs you can do in uk without necessarily being tagged a nurse you're talking osce. Is osce not still towards acquiring your pin as a nurse? Get lost. keep jumping from one thread to another miss leading people. Jobless thing

Can I just use a foreign card to make payment directly or its a must I get a voucher from mindhub first?

For home care try Care UK, they will book you for interview sharp sharp. Why home care though? I think NHS is better as a first job. This one i suggested ehn, their package is not too good. NHS give better relocation packages.

Hello Hunnybee,
I have a similar issue and mine is that I have already written my IELTS and passed. My license doesn't carry my middle name (just surname and first name) however my passport carries my middle name(my 3 names) . I'ld like to start the process of NMC uk registration but I'm confused because :
I'm not sure if NMCN will verify my license to NMC Uk
Secondly, I was told that before my first salary in the UK there will be a verification and this might cause problems.
Advice needed.

You can swear an affidavit in a Nigerian court stating that both bearers are the same person and upload it under ur identification documents. NMC UK will likely revert the name on your UK license to match the one on the Nigerian license. You can also upload the affidavit when you apply for visa. NMCN will verify you but with the name they have you registered with

Leave your mom alone, let her enjoy the fruit of her labour in peace in Nigeria. Why not you use your certificate to move to UK? Your mom is in her 50s, this is not fair of you...

Speaking from my personal experience..
I changed two of my names (surname and last name) after marriage. When I contacted NMCN to effect the change of name, they said they can only effect the change in surname which was as a result of marriage but other names remain the same.
Please note that I have done affidavit, newspaper publication and even effect the changes on my National Identity Number.
I decided to start the registration with NMC UK with my new name.
While filling out the registration form, I was asked if there's any changes to my name and I picked Yes and I uploaded the supporting documents. I was told to write my previous name and when I wanted to submit for verification, I was asked which name I'm known for at NMCN.
I have no itches with my verification.
So don't bother about the name change, just do affidavit to back it up as earlier suggested.

I'm working on leaving too, but since she's a health care worker It could be easier. And she's very much interested.

Since you insisted, her profession fall under social work in the UK, remember that social worker s highly regulated professional title in UK so she has to register with their regulatory body. How to do that from Nigeria is something I've not figured out. It seems cumbersome...

I converted my i140 to premium process, and it was approved in about 7days.

Does anyone know how to track an application in the NVC stage?

I don't know anything about them because I don't use agents. But if they will be of help to you, I think it's essential you provide them those documents to work with. Just my opinion. Those who are into agency stuff, can give more accurate information.

Thank you

If you agency paid for it, how were you able to convince them

I paid myself for the premium process. They said the only way to speed it up was to convert it to premium but they had too many people sponsoring at the moment and can't do that.
