Okay. Both of them are Okay and will last long. He should ensure he gets a good power surge to power them. I can guarantee that for Panasonic Malaysia but there are so many Panasonic China in the market. The Malaysia made is more expensive than the ones manufactured in China.

You bought it Brand new? If yes, hope the installation was done correctly & hope there was no escape of freon when that was done? Again, if new, hope you bought from an authorized distributor?

Yea. I bought it from Faouni showroom here. I didn’t take note of the installation because I had no idea about how it is done

Then invite the installer to come back and check. It may be settings but if after checking and you aren't satisfied, contact Fouani for a replacement unit. A lot of factors may cause that.

When I bought my hisense inverter AC. It took about 3-4 days before it started cooling properly. I almost gave up thinking I bought a fake, I bought from fouani. I even thought the installer didn't do a good job too.

Currently I'm enjoying it.

Maybe that's the way hisense ACs function. It takes days before the real cooling starts

How much did you get the inverter AC? I used to assume that Fouani's prices are higher than other (like the ones I'm seeing on Jumia)

Fouani sells cheaper. I got at 157k, installation kit 14k

Wow, how come? I thought thermocool is good too. I will have to switch off my fan before I can sleep at night coz of cold at 26° o. If you put it below 20 - 16 degree, you are on your own o, coz you may come out freezed at morning. The thing dey even cold pass non inverter sef

I won't buy Thermocool. They claim what they can't do. If what you're focused on is just chilling, then Hisense is it. I bought two 1HP Hisense ACs last year, and whenever I use the one in my bedroom, I wake up shivering.

If you're considering power conservation, then I'll tell you to go with LG. I have a 1.5HP LG Inverter AC in my parlour, and that's where I sleep most times because my generator can easily carry it. The LG inverter AC is conservative with cooling except when it is set to 'Jet Mode'.

Get a 2.5kva generator. It'll power the inverter AC conveniently. Preferably, get 1HP inverter AC. The freon type for those ACs are R410 which doesn't consume power at all due to the type of compressor in it.

It all depends on a lot of factors. Your budget, how's electricity in that area, will you be powering with a Gen set? Etc

But personally, my advice would be to go for an inverter AC. It'll save you cost on power and also run efficiently even when voltage is low.
