Hello everyone,I want to let you guys go know the cause of valve hooking in your generator.Using of bad fuel is the cause of valve hooking so to avoid that make sure you are using fuel treatment for your generator.

I'm sure many people truly want the best brand of generators but may not be be able to afford it. But the benefits of buying a good one despite the price far outweighs the risk involved in buying a fake one no matter how cheap it is. Unfortunately, most sellers and even some online stores exaggerate generator kva to unsuspecting customers so they can make profit not minding what happens thereafter. Hence, the need for end users to be cautious when buying a generator is really important.

I was at the last Lagos International Trade fair and observed that many people bought original generators like Sumec Firman, etc at their stands even though they seem expensive but many still chose to buy other brands with fake KVAs because they are cheap. So which would you rather choose: An expensive original generator or a cheap generator with fake KVA?

There are a lot of matters rising with respect to Generators on this thread but as for me there is an observation about all this generators and i need a clear distinct. there are some generators they will write starting watts, running watts, and some rated output and some wouldnt even write anything on it but i think all this terms are related to the capacity of such generators. please in a clear terms i need a simple explanation on this and the reason why some generators dont have it. A friend of mine introduced me to SUMEC FIRMAN generator with a good reason,
According to him. he said if you buy Sumec Firman generator you will easily see the spare parts and they also have a service centre which they can take care of your generator with original spare parts, but when you buy another brand generator when part spoil on it you are still going to look for the original part's and is going to be Sumec Firman spare parts

In as much we all need a clean energy that wouldn't create menace to our environment the need for me to scout for Noiseless Generator makes me to come across this machine. But I need a technical clarification about this machine before I enter one chance.

How do you feel buying a generator that you cant find the parts when there is an issue of parts on the generator?

I went to Alaba market and the seller was comvincingme to go for this one. He agreed to sell for 140. Is there a way ill be sure im not buying fake product

This generator has been SMOKing recently so i have to use the other generator. It works fine but the smoking is really terrible.
I called an engineer and he said i need 25 000 naira to re ring it but another engineer i called said re ringing is 5 000 naira
Which one of them is saying the truth because i dont want to waste money

If it's bringing out too much smoke.... Then your scraper ring is gone..... You need to change your piston assy entirely and getting an Original Piston Firman could cost you about 5-6k

Obviously fake! Original should be around or over 200k. You should check Firman flagship stores to confirm.

When my Thermocool Generator started smoking a lot, what I spent was not up to 13k

Original Piston Assy - 5k
My Valve was leaking hence needed grinding to seal it off - Spent N300
Mobil Oil - 1800
Workmanship - 3000
Transportation - 500

Cos the repairer came home to work on the generator

This generator is not original Sumec Firman brand, Looks more like the one been sold with sticker and the battery too is not original. Please shine your eye, don't be scammed.
