They are showing you hardcore evidences with historical exhibits to back it up only for you to be recounting myths and legends.

So, when we finally meet at the International court of Justice, these fables is what you will be regurgitating?

How could you tell who sold who and who did not by remotely staying here today, you can't prove that the Ijaws never sold Igbos, it was a business and anyone can participate, unless you don't care about the truth but if the notion that Ijaws never sold Igbos serve you right, hold on to it and observe it like a ritual but I believe at one point, Ijaws must have engaged or facilitated slave trade,

The two school of thought have every propensity but without ego you should be able to decipher the truth, King Jaja was an Ijaw thats a truth

It's okay for you to say Ijaws sold Igbos into slavery without any historical journal or literature to support your claim but when documented evidence from 1800 is provided to show Igbo's were not sold into slavery by Ijaws and to show that Igbos ruled the Niger Delta all the way to Bonny and Opobo Island you now suddenly coil like a snake to say it is business and any party can sell the other. I am trying hard not to tell you that you are quite dumb and foolish in many ways but i am restricted to restrict myself for the sake of this educative thread.

Your face saving strategy is a weak one kindly learn and educate yourself no one is above mistakes or learning, stop making a Fool of yourself as you can see this thread is littered with intellectuals who can see through your half baked education garnished with fear and spiced with ignorance.

Someone needs to make a movie of Crow's memoir. If Nollywood isn't upto task maybe Hollywood can.

Did you even read?

The languages were clear. They collected samples of other languages from people of those areas clearly.

More evidence!
More wetin?.. very watery evidence.
1. Your 1st screenshot talks about considerable dialectical differences among egboes regardless of how far away from home (egboland).
" when in a foreign country or away from their home all are Egboes". By implication, whether eboes are at home ( in Elugu) or away from home (in Bonny) are all Eboes irrespective of dialectical differences. Ibos, according to the author are one nation wherever they are away from home

2. The 2nd screenshot highlights the existential adaptation of ibos from the interior to the coastline of Bonny.
According to the screenshot; who, through " the force of circumstances" were " obliged to adapt themselves" to " the water and to trade" not in lieu of farming and hunting- ibos original occupation BUT " merely in addition to their other functions".

Ibos were forced by circumstances and were obliged to adapt to life in Bonny which is a totally different occupation from farming and hunting they were used to in the interior. Ibos were obviously settled in Bonny after the end of slave trading as could be inferred.

I just noticed that Nkissi, Amitsh and Oss in the list were not listed as Igbo ,but their words are Igbo words. cheesy
Biko any guess on who the Nkissi and Oss were? I'm guessing that Amitsh is Amichi (in Nnewi South of Anambra today).

The group recorded as Fernandian( I guess these ones came from the Island of Fernando Po to Bonny. They called man "Bobi" could this be where the Ph slangs "Abobi" for man came from? grin

Are you sure this is Nembe in Bayelsa State or Neni in Anambra State? Please, we would need someone from Nembe or someone who lives in Nembe to confirm if this clip in from Nembe and if those guys are truly Nembe youths.

If it is certified they are Nembe youths, then we seriously need to question who are the Ijaws?

Interesting questions on quora would include?
Who are the ijaws? Their history/origin, when did they first appeared in history, most importantly, what is there language? etc

If those are truly Nembe youths, then recent Nigerian historIans are a disgrace or I daresay we do not have historians in Nigeria.

I can imagine the damages or propaganda that would have been peddled pre-Internet age.

Those are Nembe youths. In other clips they enter the rooms. You can just make out pictures of royally dressed people in the wreckage. But it appears too briefly for many to catch.

I think this is Brass. You can then check the king's town.
In the past, Nembe was in Brass, although they are different people. Today, Brass and Nembe are in different LGAs.

To narrow this down, the question will be, what is the name of that town or area.
You may end up in a different linguistic area if you try to explore the whole or two LGAs.

This shows how u guys know nothing about Ijaw.

Is like saying Asari Toru and Akuku Toru are both not of Kalabari-Ijaw.

If Nembe is a tribe, it would have been formed by Nembe and Brass people.

A Brass man can say he is a Nembe man and he is fully correct.

Nembe-Ijaw Subgroup and Kalabari-Ijaw Subgroup share boundaries with each other.
And these two could speak with each other from now till forever without changing to English.
Nearly 100 percent same thing.

Don't forget that Alagoa is Nembe.
Even Diete Spiff that sent all ibos packing from old Rivers State, from Brass, Nembe-Ijaw Subgroup.

That is what happens when someone sheepishly listens to people like Asari Dokubo(who is obsessed with his baseless fantasies) without asking questions or making your own findings.
Imagine how much more ignorance is been passed around from generation to generation.

"The best way to hide something from Black people is to hide it inside a book"-Anonymous.

About 200 years ago Crow inferred that blacks then were ignorant of the wealth they were sitting on (in a world without oil) in their home soil, 200 years later nothing much has changed except perpetuating ignorance. One Mongoloid had the effontory to come and say he had 2 UK postgraduate degrees with making any meaningful contribution. He better be wiping his behind with those papers.

I am not talking as Brass and Nembe as a people... but I was telling him to be careful, because Brass and Nembe are now administrative names also.
It might interest you to know that there are Ogbia, Kugbo and Abureni people in Nembe and Brass.
These languages are different linguistically from Izon for example.

Brass LGA and Nembe LGA are not homogenous... However Brass town and Nembe town is a different matter.

Now we can see there are even Igbo speaking communities in a place where a big sit of power resides.

I hear Kalabari's language is still very Igbonized today. But I don't know how true.

Basically , you accept account that favors you and trash the rest. And , you think anybody will take you serious. If we use your approach then no progress will be made because everyone will bring texts that favors their arguments.

Ibos on this thread have been doing exactly what you accused him of. You guys are quick to discountenance the account of Crowther which was directly a testimony of King Pepple. From records, Crowther is one of the most reliable historical sources. There was hardly ever a controversy from any of Crowther's account from his journey to iboland as a missionary to his eye witness account among the Nupes.

You are actually right about Abureni people.
They are actually an Ibibiod people. Their language is Cross River.
See the language ethnologue:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abureni_language

I think the inability of Ibibio people to unite with Annang and Efik ,that could have allowed them to unite the rest of the Ibibiod people in Bayelsa and Rivers, caused a vacuum in the Eastern region that the alien Sierra Leone Ijaws that came to our coasts as European porters have been trying to fill by fire and by Force.

At this point, Ijaw doesn't even have up to 4 exclusive LGA in Bayelsa. shocked

All they have been doing is forcefully and cunning labelling of Indigenous Ibibiod people of Bayelsa and Rivers.
Little wonder they got emboldened and started going after Oron, Andoni, Eastern Obolo and Ibeno.
I mean it's common sense.
If they can label proto Ibibiod people like Ogbia, Abureni, Abua, Odual, as Ijaws, they can use them to now reach out for other strategic Ibibiod coastal groups in Akwaibom(Eastern Obolo, Oron and Ibeno)

Interesting.
