So technically Messi only played Colombia and Brazil as the big countries in Copa America.

to me, I don't think Messi deserve the award. Jorginho or lewandowski is the original owner of the award. Jorginho won Uefa nation cup and champions, while lewandowski has been known as a consistent goal scoring machine both in Germany and the rest of the world. Messi only won Copa America.
