Somehow the boat operators who deliberately put the lives of passengers because of money was able to swim to safety. How can a small boat like this carry over 20 passengers? Even while crossing oguta lake, boats that are far bigger than this don't carry up to 20 passengers. The boat operators should be arrested immediately because they will always put the life's of passengers to risk by overloading the boats and swim to safety when a mischap happens
That's obviously not the boat, it was only used for illustration..

The problem is that most people just retain such information to pass exam. Once they pass exam, they go and play and forget.

Same thing happens the world over. (There is a video of US high school students being asked geography questions at random, like point out Uzbekistan on a map of the world. All of them knew not where it wert)

The capacity of the boat is 20 passenger, In Lagos, such boat must sail with life jackets while... That's consequences of ignoring safety measures.. RIP.

And there is what we call life jacket, it's suppose to be worn by all occupants
Does life jacket provide safety? My trip from Port to Bonny Island was not funny. I promise not to enter flying boat again.

Used this small boat to carry 40 people plus with no life jacket. Too bad blame them for this tragedy. Rip to the dead tho
These guys sleep minimum of 16 in their small kiosk, so you shouldn't expect them not to carry 150 passengers in a single boat. This reminds me my service year in Katsina when a golf I boarded had to also load passengers at the boot heading to Kaduna.... That was when I understood that those people are different from us down alaigbo!
