Your signature? Why are you confused?
Nilx:
I don’t know if it’s sleeping paralysis or spiritual paralysis.

I moved to a room that belong to my late aunt, in two weeks, I had more than 3 sleeping paralysis.

The first time I had sleeping paralysis, I just shouted “Jesus” instead the normal “in the name of Jesus”. Because there’s belief that shouting “in the name of Jesus” will set you free if you experiencing the spiritual attack.

But note; if you are not strong enough, you might not be able to complete the sentence and the potency is in name.

So when I had sleeping paralysis I just shouted Jesus” and I was set free.

I had to go back to my room after few weeks. At lest, nightmare is better than Sleeping paralysis and incessant migraine.

The nightmare continues.........

First time I experienced it was in 2013, I went to supervise the building of a hostel in Ibillo, I felt someone like an old woman approach the window, then the experience started, I was screaming Jesus inaudibly yet the presser pressed me to its satisfaction grin

The worst experience was in 2019 when I went to supervise a renovation at Ekpoma, I felt the walls of a standard room closing in on me, then the pressing started, it was the longest and scariest I ever had, I woke up and felt probably it was the clients nephew who threatened me when I first got there that was behind it grin

I always seem to know when it is about to start, if I am fast enough to lie on my side, I can escape it, lying on my tommy makes it lesser or even does not happen but lying face up seem to be an invitation grin grin grin

First time I had it I was around 14 years old and was sharing a room with my older brother.

It was mid night, no light. I regained consciousness mid sleep, opened my eyes and saw a figure moving around the room in the darkness, at first I thought it was my brother and maybe he woke up and went to the bathroom, but then I realized my brother was sleeping next to me, then my thoughts were maybe we left our room open and someone came in, but I remembered I personally locked the door that day.
Then the moving figures went from one to two different figures. That was when fear started catching me, and I realized I couldn't move either, I thought were this Aljani (Jinns, spirits), the visitors of the night I've heard people people's stories about? I tried praying, but I found I couldn't vocalize it, that was how i closed eyes and started reciting Quran in my mind, and slowly I realized I could actually recite it aloud, I kept on going until the episode ended. Even after which I didn't move due to fear and was laying there trying to reason what happen.

Scary experience for the first time.
The experience kept reoccurring every now and then after the first one, and my skepticism of the spiritual nature of the experience grew, and I figured a way to break it, as the episode starts and came to understand it's a natural thing, and stopped being afraid of it, one time I just let the episode ride, and I found out I could use it for lucid dreaming.

Abeg, how you did go about the lucid dreaming

I kept money inside my pocket and slept off. I saw Peter entering my room, and then he searched my pocket and took out my 5k.

I was trying to open my eyes but I couldn't. I tried saying a word but I couldn't. I started breathing heavily.

I had to keep increasing my breathing level until I woke up breathing heavily. I searched my pocket and saw my 5k.

Had it been I couldn't find my 5k, Peter would have been in trouble.
Nice essay lol

I always tell pple this is the perfect solution for sleep paralysis, it comes only when you lie face up, I'm glad I see someone agreeing, this thing don do me sotey now I pull myself out of it easily and then just lay on my side or stomach. It's so easy for me now, can never forget the first time,. Sometimes 2018, I thought it was a spiritual attack but gradually I got to understand there's no spiritual connection at all. What you believe works for you

My first experience was in January 1993. It was scary and kept occuring once in a long while. I do not attach any spiritism to it even though I can't tell what triggers it.

Exzctly!! My own experience is that I call always know when I want to have it and infact I do it to myself just to be sure . I like to get answers. I know what to do to always make it come. I have done it several times .
This is how it happens everytime:
I leave my door open then I sleep facing up in the direction of the "open door". My house, I am aware that people could pass infront of my door always to the backyard and since my door is opened, anyone could come in.
This thought is what I will put in my head before I sleep. Guess what? ... it( sleep paralysis) will happen and it will seem like someone came into the house and then I will start imagining all sorts of things thr person could be doing. When I do manage to move myself and wake up, I won't see anyone or anything out of place. At times , I will immediately go back to sleep as I had done earlier ( face up) it will happen again. I lie face up because I believe it will be easy for me to wake up faster to see anyone coming into the house. I always have to open my door to let breeze sip through. If I do sleep on my sides then I won't experience any sleep paralysis even when the door is opened .

I have come to a conclusion that the sleep paralysis is happening to me because I kind of put myself and my brain in a semi awareness state. It is like I am awake while asleep. So, the brain plays some of your thoughts to you. The lying face up assist the brain to carry out this task.

We should always try to question some things we don't understand. We might find out that the answers aren't as difficult as we always think.

Everyone who had had sleep paralysis always like face up. Yes! I think the closing of legs top. Yesss. It happens when I do that too.

Sleeping faced up invites paralysis. Just as being upside down could make one nauseous and dizzy

First experienced it when I was about twelve. The guy who told us about it said you never get to experience it until someone tells you about it. I only get scared sometimes during the process, sometimes I don't, but overall once it's over I feel no fear at all. I think a lot of people have actually experienced it but only thought they were dreaming because they haven't heard about it. It usually happens to me when I stay awake for hours at night - like tonight or when I sleep face side stomach down, or back down face up. It never happens when I sleep on my side. I should be sleeping now but, boy-o-boy, I've been awake.... so there's a possibility.

I have had my own fair share of sleep paralysis in the past, not just once or twice but the most notable was when I saw my former landlord ( now late) in my room moving towards my bulb switch while I laid on my bed unable to move or talk but somehow conscious or awake, now this was mid night when everyone had slept. The intriguing fact is that the man is notoriously known to be fetish by people including his own children who occasionally accused him 'blocking' their destiny. I know and can still remember what I saw that night as it was very glaring to me. The next morning the man came knocking on my door for reasons best known to him.

Other tenants also complain of getting 'pressed' at night with different modes and strategies. I believe this sleep paralysis is demonic no matter how normal people try to paint it and we shouldn't loose our guard to spiritual happenings. Like someone rightly said the environment matters a lot as some atmosphere are spiritually abnormal.

I don't think that's sleep paralysis. Nightmares may be- I think. You can't say a word even with your mouth wide open when it hits you. You get "paralyzed" at such moments.
