lakefist: My fridge was defrosting yesterday since there was no light for about 12 hours. I plugged the fridge into the inverter unit and voila! Everything was fine. I monitored the battery level and it didn't drop as fast as I thought. So, I am good 1 Like |

Nice setup, so how long does it last (considering the fact you shouldn't run it below 40% of the battery) and what load capacity do you use on it? Ovaltine: |
Re: How I Managed Light Situation In My Apartment (DIY Guide) by Nobody: 11:59pm On Dec 29, 2021 |
Teedeechian: It lasts as long as 14 hours with about 600 watts constantly on it. This is my minimal load which will take me from sundown to sunrise when the solar will pick it up again. 1 Like |

Does the 600w include your fridge? How's it holding up? Cause i think fridge is what's still holding me back should incase Nepa decides not to supply power for like 3 days, and buying solar fridge is not in the plan for now. Ovaltine: |

airsaylongcome:I hope you understand what 'efficiency' means when talking about solar panels? Because 23% efficiency is very very good. The efficiency stated on the solar panels is not how many watts they can produce. But means the power to size ratio. In simple English it means if 2 panels are exactly the same dimensions and one panel is rated 300w while the other is rated 400w, the later panel can produce more watts with same form factor hence more 'efficient'. Most good panels produce 80% and above of their capacity when installed properly. |
