My advice to guys is , never go into any relationship if you do not have the shockabsorbers for the venoms ladies spew ; you may commit murder if care is not taken.

As usual, due to the mentor's behavior I just mentioned and other thuggish tendencies, she doesn't have a fiance at 30 plus years while blaming her predicament on being an after 1 SMH. Some women don't know with their behaviours, they push men away and blame their predicaments on other frivolities. I as a man and most men will never get close to or at worst, marry such kind of women that can't bridle their mouths. I left my last Ex due to this same issue.

The problem with toxic relationships is that of misrepresentation.

I remembered a relationship I attempted to resolve.

The wife ran her mouth, and her husband recorded it. For almost 3 hours, the woman was running her mouth, calling the man unprintable names, abusing his father, his mother, his grandparents, even his ancestors, heaping heavy curses on him, and so on and so forth.

The recording ended, and it was at that time, he gave her slap. It was not the first time he had hit her. In fact, he had hit her several times. He didn't deny it.

However, the major problem was that the woman did not know she was even more toxic than her husband with her constant verbal abuses. In fact, it was she who first made the accusation of being in a toxic relationship.

To her, and to many others, only men are capable of being toxic. In fact, they overlook their sharp mouths and hurtful words, and regard them as normal things for women.

But nagging is not normal. Verbally demeaning your spouse and destroying them psychologically with hurtful words is not normal. It is toxic.

I have prophesied it here once that domestic violence will continue until the day we start demanding accountability from women too.

From a record I once read, in a lot of domestic violence cases, the woman is always the aggressor. Usually, they don't hit first. But they rubbish the other person to a point of helplessness where the victim lashes out, and then becomes the guilty one.

We need to redefine toxicity, because we have long defined toxicity in the context of masculine toxicity.

No, there is more to toxicity than a woman's swollen face. Abused men don't usually have pictures of battered faces, but it doesn't mean they are happy.

I have been a relationship where the woman practically reduced my self worth to nothing with constant destructive criticism. It took heavy family interference to get me out of that toxic relationship, and it took some hours of therapy sessions to regain my self confidence.

I never hit her once, but there was a time, I stopped being silent, and I would give her abuse for abuse. And she would cry, and claim victim. The neighbors would gossip about how I was treating a good woman like trash. They would abuse me for abusing a woman. They would say terrible things about me, without knowing the true story.

Society needs to redefine toxicity, and sanitize society accordingly.

I know I sometimes judge women too harshly, and make up excuses for women beaters. But if you have been in my shoes, you will understand the cunning of some women, which makes it hard to take the sides of women in matters of domestic violence.

We know these truth but when the weaker vessels whom are very quick to publicize the abuse meted on them do so, we join them to cry foul but forgetting Newtons third law "for every action there is an equal or opposite reaction"...

I know that there are some monsterous men out there but to absolve these daughters of eve of any blame leading to the abuse would be a wrong judgement.

These girls are our friends, girlfriends, sisters, wife, acquaintance etc and we know how they behave in real life too but let's not judge them till judgement day comes.

We are quick to condemn the men when we see bloodied faces of ladies but most of us don't have the courage to ask what the ladies could have said or done that led to the battery. The submission is usually "no matter what, nothing should warrant someone's daughter beaten like this". I hate battery of ladies essentially that I have a daughter and sisters but ladies should bridle their tongues.

You can say that again! The experience with my sister few days ago shows some of our ladies are not doing well as regards bridling their mouths these days. No wonder domestic violence is rampant in today's marriages as it is usually a result of a action-reaction - the lady not learning to bridle her mouth and keep shut in tense situations, the guy (which is perfectly normal) not being able to take it.

Exactly. I used to do that before until my experience from a lady from hell as regards not learning to bridle her mouth from a few months ago till now so I have gotten wiser as regards such issues.
