Love they say is blind, people date and sleep with each other everyday without thinking much about the ethnicity of the person he/she loves particularly students on campus, they really don't care about tribe while dating in school.

But when it comes to marriage, people are more careful, the question of acceptability will certainly come to mind, whether you family will accept that Igbo girl or Yoruba guy, or Hausa man you are dating.
Though Sometimes money can make our parents change their minds on certain issues, your parents may accept that igede man if he's very rich.

So how far can you go in this kind of situation?

I might not be 100% right, but most people in Nigeria marry from their ethnic group; even pastor's, imams, christians, Muslims...There is no condition given by God that says you must marry from your ethnic group, but people are wired to marry from their ethnic group....

If you want to marry from your ethnic group, fine, if you want to marry from another ethnic group, fine; but make sure you sustain your marriage...

I will advise you never to idolize your ethnic group or any particular ethic group when it comes to marriage...The fact that you may like your ethnic group does not mean it must be a do or die affair. You might marry a wicked person from your ethnic group if you are not careful...Open your heart to God, and He will give you His choice that is good for you.
