Why do most Nigerians bother more about traveling out at all costs than worry about what it takes to survive abroad? I have met Nigerians struggling to survive outside this country, who if asked to consider returning home would tell you they'll rather suffer abroad than return home. Is this thing really that serious? Reading a comment here earlier today, I saw someone surprised and excited that with just 500k he can actually travel out to Dubai (according to the one who wrote the comment).

It leaves me wondering why anyone would leave their eventual survival and prosperity abroad to chance than be certain through adequate preparation before leaving the shores of Nigeria.

Or is it me that's overthinking it? Is this part of the hustle mentality? Is this even convenient for anyone? Why go through so much in Nigeria and eventually "escape" only to end up worse off?
