Same here as I'm already in the field of data analysis / statistics, should I just learn big data analysis with programming languages and machine learning or start another career entirely by learning app/Web development huh

NB: the only softwares I can use as it stands are spss, minitab and maybe know a little excel functions

They are both in high demand. However, you need to ask yourself this...do you want to earn internationally or localy.
If you learn either well, you can be getting paid per hour and in dollars. To help yourself check the requirements needed for both, from there you will be able to make your choice

But your personal and professional proficiency will determine how fast you can get a role.

You should get a preview/overview of both fields to be sure of which interests you the most, then follow through on that.

Software development is more evolved than data sciences, which is still evolving.

Don’t be solely motivated by money and immediate offers, rather the long-term goals and your happiness to impact and be more in the industry.
