Nowadays there are up to 5 offerings in church.

1 Sunday school offering
2 Testimony offering
3 Building levy offering
4 Youth offering
5 Offerings for needy
6 Tithe etc

There are strategies devised to coerse one to give
such as "stand up and raise your offering and being left on the seat while others give.

It makes me feel bad.

Give your extra money to those who truly deserved it not wasting it in the name of tithes.

Some will even tell you to wave your offering to God.

if you want to give through transfer you can meet your pastor na and i get what you are saying about the shame part but what I do is give myself reasons not to even stand up after I have given what I came with besides I don't even believe those tithe things

So sorry to assert this, every extra I'm giving at church goes to physically challenged in front of the church.

I'm also above that psychological prison or shame of sitting alone... Taaaa why will i join everyone and do same thing. ?

It boils down to knowing the God you are coming to church for.

If you have, give. If you don't have you stay put, no need for public debate bout the offerings collected.

Give the one you have. No one forces anyone to give.

For me, I'm only bothered about my tithe. Once I pay that one, I feel satisfied. I do general offerings because I believe there are cost associated to running the church.

simple something, get 5 naira note in 5 places and put them all in envelope and give for each offering. you have satisfied all 5 offering plates and you are only out of 25 naira

Don't constitute a stumbling block if everyone is going out for offering by rows, if you don't have money join them and walk past the offering box, there's no shame in it, you will feel awkward if you are the only left and when the offerors are returning you will be raising your legs for them to pass and constituting a nuisance.
Don't sit, join them and walk past the offering box without dropping anything and no one will even notice or you can drop empty envelopes. God knows your heart

The church is only doing what is required of every human and organizations in this present day and times which is diversifying, thereby creating multiple source of income.
OP, nothing to feel bad about, you don't have means you don't have, the church I attend and the parish in particular, there is only one offering collected at most 2 with the exception of tithe which is not even talked about every Sunday. RCCG does not bill like that, and when it comes to special donation for a church project, it is done when it is complete, no one is forced or coerced to donate to see it done as quick as possible.

The church I grew up attending with my mother, they can bill for Africa, you donate practically for everything, some women even go one after the other to collect different levies from members, and it is same with most of their parishes.

Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
