Like I always advise applicants before embarking on the Canada study journey, you must really have a lot of patience cos the process of waiting for a decision can make someone depressed if you are not prepared for it..

This is my advise that will help a little, after applying for your Canada study permit and doing your biometrics, take off your mind from it and focus on other aspects of your life, I.e your Job, your business , your family e.t.c. Make sure you do somethings that engages your time and mind, do not put all your life around your Canada application, at least you had a life before Canada, so let it remain like that..

You can occasionally be checking your profile or your mails to see if there is any update from IRCC.. And this can be done once or twice a month, and not the every minute checking of your profile like some applicants here do..

This Canada Visa application is not for the faint hearted, this doesn't only apply to study permit application, Express Entry, Visiting Visa e.t.c also experience delays in final decision..

Despite the long wait and delay, it will surely end in oriase..

Peace
Tywopraise:
Please is the Canadian study visa delay general?? Cos my application clocked 6Months on the 25th December yet no review of Eligibility nor medical request. I've raised a claim on their web form twice yet no mail from Ircc..
I'm worrieddddddd

I feel you but i assure you that about 99% of people that have applied for a visa to any country at all, it will always be difficult to take your mind off it. But we really can't do anything other than to wait. IRCC will always teach you patience.

Thank you Boss for this important advice.

Seriously, it's not for the faint-hearted. The waiting is not easy to cope with.
I pray for God Almighty sudden intervention on our behalf so that we all come out successful.
Surely, it will end in praises for all of us.

Please I need your input on this scenario

I don’t have POF but my father got a loan from a cooperative society to serve as his POF (this loan gotten is in my father’s account) how will I table this before the VO please, that is, would I need to explain how such lump sum got into his account?

And apart from that, can I show land documents, business that can be used as collateral or the business that’ll be used to pay the loan back?

Also if all the POF is in my father’s account, does that have any negative impact on the Visa Application?

Do I need to attach my bank statement too?, is it compulsory? (There is lots of irregularity in payment of my salary, I’m being owed lots, LOTS of months salary

Finally, can a loan approval letter be submitted to the VO, let’s assume that in this one the loan hasn’t been sent to the my dad’s account? account

Hello Nimi

This debate between Canada and UK has been on for years.. And I don't wanna go into that again, probably anyone that has something to say can advise you...

But Honestly speaking, Canada is worth waiting for..

Once you get to Canada, you will forget all what you went through enroute getting your Canada Visa..

If you scroll up a lil, you will see a post of an applicant who got to Canada 12 months ago advising that Canada is worth the wait....

Even some peeps that are in UK, still find their way to Canada..

Let me stop here..

Peace

Hello people, goodday!

I just finished my biometrics today, what will be the next thing on my app, will there be any update on my application in my GC-key acct?

Also, whenever i will be going for my medicals at IOM ikeja, for the experienced clients, how many hours does the medical takes and what time do they starts?

Thanks!
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Lani84: 4:05pm On Dec 29, 2021
Thanks for your response! We have re-done the SOP, included more documentation and explained the lump sum. Fingers crossed!

purespikes:

Your GCMS notes should make your reapplication easier.
1. You have to explain the lump sum in your SOA, as identified by the VO. Do a LOE for your SOA and explain every lump sum in it.
2. Your spouse's pay slip has to be resubmitted with clear legibility. This should go with showing proof that he can take care of the home front in your absence.
3. Your SOP seem not to do justice to your study plan. You really must convince the VO of your study plan and how the proposed course of study bears positively on your previous academic qualifications and career progression. I think you have a lot of work to do on your SOP.

Again, wait for the gurus.
It is well
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Lani84: 4:09pm On Dec 29, 2021
Hello, thank you so much for your response. We have done all these now, hopefully that will be enough.

viviangogos:
My input would be be if the concerns were all properly addressed in this re submission?
they mentioned
1) The Spouse payslip was illegible; hope you have attached a very clear one now?
2) SOP was poorly documented; Hope someone has helped review the new SOP to be sure it captured the purpose as detailed and straight to the point as possible.
3) Lumpsum; Was this clearly addressed? Make a table on your SOP or LOE to explain the funds you have and plan for the study in a way it can be understood.

I will also suggest in addition to the SOP, you actually write a LOE to address the refusal reasons ONLY. then the SOP will have the other study plan like your background, funds, home ties, reason for Canada and the DLI chosen, benefit of study to home country, etc. hence you can submit a LOE and an SOP. ( well I did this for mine after my initial refusal)

Note: This is only a suggestion as it is not compulsory if you have addressed the necessary concerns on the SOP.

All the best!!!

quote author=Lani84 post=108842732]Hello friends, I hope everyone is doing well. My sister got her GCMS notes, and we are ready to re-apply. I have attached the reason for refusal. She is married, but her husband is staying behind. Please see the documents we are planning to attach (asides from the standard ones like police clearance):

1. New Statement of Purpose
2. Spousal letter of support
3. Spousal affidavit of support
4. Letter of explanation for spouse's bank statement
5. Letter of Introduction from her office
6. Spouse's letter of employment
7. Spouse's payslips
8. Her payslips

My sister is visiting me here in Canada currently and just got admission while here. Can she apply for a study permit while here with me or she has to go back to Nigeria and apply?

Thanks

Yes, she can but search thru ircc website for final decision. Also ask for professional advice within Canada cos there a few DOS and DONTS
