iokpebholo:You like defending injustice. ![]() At this point, the executives, members of the estate security committee, the estate CSO and some residents had converged at the estate gate to plead with the commissioner on his way out with the hope that his anger would have subsided after enjoying the party. To our amazement, the commissioner came down from the car on his way out, said he was insulted by our estate and further instructed that the remaining security operatives who replaced the arrested ones should also be arrested. “This resulted in complete shutdown of the estate as no one could go in or come out as our estate gate is automated and the operatives with the access token were all arrested with the token. This further resulted in the traffic jam that occurred on CMD Road for over 4hrs. “Pleas from different angles were made to the Commissioner with no yield until about 11 pm when he finally gave in. The estate was finally able to bail the security operatives who were already put in cell, the resident with her children who were put behind the counter at about 11:30pm.” |

I used to think Hakeem Odumosu was one of Nigeria's professional officers. So what should i be expecting from a corporal? Sometimes you let some things slide. Once they put on that evil uniform. |

JohnBullMySon:Yes they are co owned by private individuals and that makes it a bit of public... take for instance... private company stock traded on Nigerian stock exchange. It is controlled and regulated by government, the companies are also regulated by government. Just the way CBN can decide on the chairman of a bank. So you see, even though they are private, government gets involved. Another scenario, if police is chasing after criminals, so the security at magodo gate will be asking stupid questions and delay them for 30min? Lastly the silly security guard disrespected the office of lagos top security chief, that's unacceptable. The security they claim to be doing doesn't get higher than the commission of police. JohnBullMySon:Thank you! As long as he is not on an official assignment sanctioned by his boss or the federal government, he will bend to the rules of wherever he finds himself. Even in a sanctioned visit(such as an arrest), they still need a court permit AKA warrant to gain access to private property. I know for sure it’s just power play and ego trip on the side of the police officer. I know estates that they have to place a phone call for the resident to confirm that indeed, the person at the gate is there for said resident and considering the facts on ground, they security men just wanted to know who he is visiting so they can place a security call as is due process. There is no love lost between civilians and the Nigerian politics but I will still call a spade, a spade. Hakeem Odumosu abused power. |

resident who happens to be a widow that was passing by with her three children was also ordered to be arrested alongside her 3 children by the commissioner of police. We have read the two sides of the story but we suspect lies from the other side. I think we should just let go since nobody can get justice knowing very well that every servant (Civil Servant) in Nigeria are a lord who is above the law. It's only Karma that will handle this case fairly. |
