@ BiigTee

Everything about Polystyrene is on this thread.

On your question... You don't have to do a full beam, since Polystyrene is light weight... But doing it is an advantage.

we would be sharing one of our recent job.
This is a special 600mm (2 feet) x 600mm (2 feet) design based on customer's specifications, with polystyrene you don't need to think much about weight.
if you do a precast / cast in suite parapet of 600 mm parapet on a building, you will notice the weight on the building with time and you must also factor that in during your foundation design.

Picture 01-03 are finished materials in the factory.

Due to its size, The materials alone occupied a full 40 feet lenght truck.

Picture 7-- 10 are work in progress.
parapet is to a building as chain is to a neck.
with the 600 mm parapet, rain water from the roof doesn't touch the building at all

Is this more durable than cement parapet? The cement parapet that is molded on the ground and hanged up?

Please give me the link for the polystyrene person in Anambra state. My email is jizokoli@gmail.com or please you can give me his contact here.
Chuwaa2:
Hello OP,

I got your mail and your apologies is well noted. Anyway I got another fella in Anambra and he did it and your price and his were almost equal.
Small transportation cost. Thanks for the good work, you helped me make decisions.
We used beam and after casting the beams, we used very light but rich mixture to cover the top When I'm back in Lagos, I hope to patronise you one day.

We used 300 by 450 and its still work in progress. People of course marvelled at the speed of installation, just two days.

Can the supplies be made for this? Let me know so that we can work together on the dimensions and the designs. Just a few parts of the stuff will be needed, majorly the numbered parts.
