Huge account balance doesn't guarantee you a visa especially tourist visa if the statement of account and your profile doesn't correlate.
As a matter of fact, it might even play a role in you not getting the visa.

What was your profile ( I.e employed, self employed, freelancer etc)?

Let's assume you claimed to be a salary earner, do the salary that come into your account seem like what would have made you have 7m (after expenses)?

As a tourist, it's to your advantage if your closing balance can cover your expenses but what matters is your guaranteed income. Secondly, your expenses at the same time proves your residency and ties to your home country.

I don't writing about this issue because e too long.

I had well over 7million naira in my account.

Hello House..
Please if anyone do not mind answering, as a pregnant woman how far gone is safe to be and how much time grace do you have to stay in Nigeria after the visa before travelling?

I mean assume one is 4 or 5 month pregnant and applied for the visa, is there grace to stay in Nigeria till maybe 7-8month before going? Cuz I read tourist visa is about 3 month and I do not intend to even overstay. Please can someone shed light on this?

Also, can I use my husband business account as my statement, I'm traveling alone.

First you have to consider your safety, the airline might not carry you if you look too heavy (though I know people get fit to fly).
If you get a 3months visa, you can enter 2months 27days after the visa issued date.
It'll be better for your husband to apply with you if you'll be using his business account. They're likely to ask for your own bank statement as well, they asked for my wife's bank statement.

Thank you very much, that means I have like 3 month grace aside from the 3 month visa issued? Truly I appreciate your input so far. Can I PM you or maybe drop my mail or if I can get yours?

Let say you get your visa Jan 1st with 3months multiple entry. It start counting from the issued date till March 29th or 30th. You can still enter till 30th of March but since there is no direct flight and you're likely to spend more than 24hours intransit to Brazil, then you'd have to leave few days before expiration of your visa. After they've stamped you in, you have 90days to stay in the country according to your visa.

Depends on the visa you get:

90days visa will need you to be in Brazil within 90days from when issued. Someone on the thread said there are other visas that you could stay a year before travelling

On @MrTade issue;

I think the reason he was refused is cos they know his supposed tourist wife that applied 2 months earlier is still in Brazil and he has only applied to join her so they know he ain't a tourist but on a different mission.

It's easy for them to track that the wife is still in Brazil cos I'm sure by now she has registered herself in the system through hospital visits and whatever she does with her CPF or her passport.

My advice is for him to wait till his child is born then apply for family reunion.

@MrTade....

They know your wife is still in Brazil after 2 months enjoying Pastel, Galinha, Coxinha, Akaraje, fresh and Big size fruits, collecting fresh air at Parques and Jardims and also visiting UBS weekly.

I wish her safe delivery and a successful family reunion visa when your child is born.

Sorry about the Refusal... When your child is born they won't have a choice

I understand all you said but I am a business owner in the real estate ecosystem. All documents to show this was attached to the article application. I would really love you to write more about the issue as it seems you’re knowledgeable in the subject area. I really need to know why I was denied since they would not even state the reason at the embassy

Thank you so much and your write up is hilarious amidst my chaos of rejection. Please I need to hire a nanny or mid wife care giver for my to wife to care for her this period and after birth since she is alone. I am also trying again, this time for my mother in law to come tend to her. If you have a means to get this fulfilled. Kindly share. Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for sharing your thought. I deeply appreciate. I would also need agents that assist with documentations after the bundle of Joy arrives. They ruined all my plans to assist my wife but God dey!

If she's already here and haven't overstayed her visa, you can get her to register with a private hospital, provide the documents to the embassy with cover letter stating the main reason why you want to come, if possible apply alongside your mother inlaw. The embassy is aware of your situation already and I doubt they'll deny you after stating that your wife need your support at this crucial time, also provide documents to show that you have strong ties in naija. You have nothing to loose, I don't think they'll send immigration to evict her of she has not overstayed her visa OR you can just wait till she put to bed as someone suggested . Just thinking o

Yes she already registered in a Private hospital called Sao Luiz hospital. And She just stayed a month already so visa is not close to expiry, also my previous application had enough documents to show strong ties in Nigeria. Moreso, will I be able to apply again immediately after denial. I thought I have to wait for a period before I can reapply. Kindly correct me if I am wrong

I really don't know about the time frame to reapply.. Maybe you should wait till the baby arrives, that way we know they won't be able to deny your visa.

Hello.
Please anyone with the idea of how much it would cost to get a midwife or those that help after childbirth for the duration of one's stay in the country?
