First generate an invitation code with this link
https://ircc.canada.ca/visit-visiter/en/get-account-ircc-portal

Then proceed to apply with
https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en

Are you sure this portal is for study visa application or It is restricted to visitor visa application?

Will the previous account be linked with this new one?

You can't link previous application to it. It's a simple and straightforward portal.

But your UCI will appear.

Yes. You can try it out.

Just play with it.

You will see study permit there .

It transfers application details directly to Chinook software spreadsheet . Instead of transferring from gcms when imm forms are used. You will also get your application summary in PDF for your own record.

Please someone should help me FORM A is too long now. Can I use the CIBC with my card and they can deduct 2700CAN. Pls someone should answer me.

Your best and cheapest bet is to go through FORM A, you will understand the process if you give yourself time, it is when you are filling IRCC forms, just take time and fill it out, this option is slow but cheap.

The other option is to purchase FX from the parallel market and fund your dom account and do a swift transfer, this option is fast but more expensive.

All the best.

Congrats bro when you raised webform did you get any notification from them or what other thing did you do.

I’m not a bro ooo
Yes, I received a message immediately I sent the webform, then the issue was sorted in less than 24 hours.

This is the link I used, someone sent it to me;
“IRCC launches a new channel of communicating with them. A much better user friendly design.

Yes, abeg do it alone. I was once a victim die to ignorance. That was what brought me to this platform. Imagine someone waiting for biometrics for more than a year after submitting application. Have you seen that before. I wasted two years with the agent.

Man....that's bad.....I'm happy you got what you needed at the end

Yes please do it yourself. They always look legit until you get scammed. Get your admission first, then u can always come back here to ask questions about the visa.
Ok I will....my first choice although is Dalhousie University Halifax in Nova Scotia....but their tuition fees are kinds expensive.....you have to pay extra $14K as an international student....this is the fees estimate from the school website....is this expensive compared to other schools??
The University of New Brunswick and Guelph University are also possible choices for me...but Dalhousie is my first choice

Thanks, so do your findings based in the course you want to study and apply for the admission first. Find Scholls that are designated learning institutions. Schools that will allow you do post graduate work permit

Please has anyone flown Ethiopian airlines to Toronto over the last few weeks? I understand some European airlines insist on Nigerian doing a Covid test even though one is just transiting. Don't know how true this is. Which airline would be best?

Just curious.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by kokolanre123: 10:24pm On Jan 06, 2022
Should your study permit be refused, or you are unable to start your studies at the University of Manitoba, you can request a refund of your tuition and MISHP fee**. Only requests submitted to Extended Education before January 13, 2022 at 11:59 pm CDT will be considered.

@makano the above is my headache and nothing is forthcoming from IRCC asides from medical passed

makano:
Hello kokolanre

Did your wife state in the family form that you will be accompanying her to Canada? If not I will advise you have a lil bit of patience till she gets her Study permit and apply for a Spousal permit for you..

Remember, she used you as a home tie, and IRCC already have the info that you are staying back, now if you apply for Visiting visa application and they do their background check and see your Wife has already declared in her ongoing application that you will be staying behind, what do you think will happen..

So I will advise you to relax and chill, you will still go to Canada when your wife gets her Study permit and Sin, you do not need to rush and take steps that will complicate a positive outcome...

Peace

Long post but I am certain this will encourage someone.

I started my study visa journey in 2019. I had wanted to go to Fanshewe College and so I contacted an agent from the list I got from the college. The agent I spoke to told me I didn't have a chance because I am 37 years old, I have just a BSC and my salary isn't up to 1m. My study gap is 16 years.
He told me he could help get the admission but he can assure me I won't get a visa.
I was very sad hearing what he said but I didn't allow it affect me.

I went online and started doing my research. I applied to three colleges. 2 offered me admission and 1 denied me. I picked 1 from the offer I got and applied for a visa myself. I didn't use any agent.

I got a medical request and IRCC said my medicals wasn't submitted by Qlife. I contacted Qlife and said they had transmitted the result and can't do it twice. I went into prayers and eventually my medical was updated to pass after 2 months and then the wait began.

Applied 15th August
Medical request 15th Sept
Medical updated to pass 15th Nov
PPR 6th Jan.

I just want to encourage those that are yet to apply, to please do so and those waiting, I wish you all the best. I summarized the journey but if you wish to ask any question, please feel free to contact me on queenlumidee@gmail.com.
Where do I get the consent form please. I need a direct link

Thank you all

But to be honest those approved school agent provider from Nigeria are doing too much, once you contact them for admission, and they hear you have a study gap and Age bla bla bla, they will just jump their guns and said you can’t get the visa like say na den they give pple visa.

Maybe the one sent was not visible enough.

Did you get that. Seems the guy handling lagos ircc email is high on weed. Nigga actually sent a mail to some one saying thus "Kindly resend the First bank Statement account now".

Then he sent to another to send a clear PDF copies of the First bank statement he applied with meanwhile this applicant didnt use First bank at all but rather FCMB-First City Monument Bank.
