Former Governor of Niger State, Dr Babangida Aliyu has said that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has agreed to re-zone the presidency to the northern region despite its agreement that any candidate can contest the election.

Dr Babangida Aliyu disclosed this on Friday when the Atiku Support Organisation visited him in Minna, adding that he is confident of the success of the group.

He also assured them of his support.

“In our zoning agreement, we have agreed to re-zone the North as requested by others but we have agreed written openly as a result of what has happened that any candidate from any part of the country can now contest this election,” Aliyu said.

He added that the group has done wonderfully well by going round nooks and crannies of the country to ensure that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerges as the party flag bearer and is elected President of Nigeria come 2023.

The National Coordinator of the group, Dr Victor Moses, thanked the former governor for his continued support for Atiku Abubakar even as 2023 approaches.

A particular region will not talk now. This is a place they have invested almost all their political energy since return to democracy yet their investment is not acknowledge and they are ok with it but they will come to nairaland to threat APC to give them presidential ticket or they burn down everywhere.
This is true about the saying that some people are born to attack quickly, the man who give them attention and listening ears but the same people will be following, praising and licking the ass of a man who careless about their feelings.

Let Atiku go instead of the South West getting two terms or chances when the South East is yet to get one...

In any case, the North East, where Atiku hails from, is yet to get her turn.

As much as the Igbos want the presidency, it will not be the end of the world if Atiku becomes president when from all probability, the Igbo candidate will serve after he is through.

The Tinubu arrangement will mean that the Igbos will have to wait for another 16 years before dreaming of the presidency...

We shall not allow that to happen...
