[s]using the airports in Enugu, Asaba and Imo states is an economic decision. Anambra can use the funds to put in place do many other needed infrastructure and keep growing the state GDP. Obviously you guys are looking at it from "bragging rights" angle and not sound economy decision.

That's why many fail in business. Take advantage of opportunities presented by others and grow.

Anambra needs pipe born water system, many of the roads need repairs. I can list tons of areas the funds will be invested in and it will benefit not just the rich but every single person in Anambra[/s]

It is Enugu state that needs pipe born water not anambra state.

Since last year there is water scarcity in Enugu but you are not concerned about issues in your state but more fixated on anambra economic lights.

Are there no bad roads in Enugu even worst of it?

Are there roads in Imo?

Are there no bads roads in Asaba? So what's your point exactly because your are pointless.

Even Anambra still has a better state road network.

Enugu state needs your advice more. Give it to them.

Anambra airport is of great economic benefit to the state.

Yes Awka to Enugu isn't far, so Enugu should convert their airport to a yam barn and start using the one in Anambra. Terrible roads all over Enugu should be fixed instead of using the money to maintain non viable Enugu airport. Roads in enugu are terrible, the state government should pay more attention to it. Anambra has the best road networks in igboland and now an international airport to serve the Eastern Nigeria

michlins:
I always felt it is unnecessary. Awka to Enugu is less than an hour albeit the bad roads. So if efforts are made to fix the roads, flights will be landing in Enugu for Anambra North and central. Then Anambra South will be using Owerri airport. Say you land in this Anambra airport, the terrible state of Anambra State roads will ensure you spend hours moving from Onitsha to Ekwulọbịa

is Finland, Iceland, Vatican city bigger than Anambra? Yet they all have airports
Those are sovereign countries.
Of course they need an airport.

Is anambra a country?

The anambra airport will succeed not necessarily because it is the best use of money, but because of the relatively high disposable income of the Igbo people.

Anambra has far better infrastructure than enugu and imo states. Enugu for instance doesn't even have portable drinking water. So what do they need airport for?

Anambra is the most viable state in igboland and needs the airport more than every other state.

Today it is proven that the airport is the most viable in Nigeria aside Abuja and Lagos international airports.

So airports in enugu and imo should be closed immediately to save money.

Anambra has the best road networks and portable drinking water.

And that's with small plans that carry less than 40 people ...so when fully operational we should be expecting 20,000 to 50,000 flights monthly ...with international flight it would hit 200k per month

Charging is passenger #2500 and 50,000 passengers that's #125 million from passengers alone this can power the airport ( Diesel ) and pay very staff of the airport plus #30, million for maintaining the airport per month

The money gotten from airlines would just be pure profit estimated to be around #5 billion per year ...in 5 years airport is profitable

Do you know what 50 000 flights is so ....the smallest plane on that route is the ERJ 145 and it carrries 50
