His cross led to our goal. And his crosses caused mayhem in the box almost everytime for Egypt even though he could have done better with the accuracy of the delivery.

Just give it to the man. He did great today.

And yes Ejuke was good too when he came on but he wasted a beautiful opportunity set up by Nwakali.

His end product was abysmal sorry. Ejuke end product was much impressive in 20 minutes

Double standard people will not swallow their pride Wey big pass bag of rice

Instead of them to tell you that chuks didn’t perform as expected ,they choose to tell you Moses Simon didn’t have a good game

Shameless people grin
Jay Jay Okocha said Moses Simon was the man of the match but people here think he had a bad game. Between Okocha and a random random guy on Nairaland, who will you believe his opinion on football subject?

Na sentiments be their problem ,leave them

I respect some certain monikers and they are many ,they will criticize but if you had a good game they will praise you ,many of them have been praising Simon ,but the stubborn ones with pride will refuse

Yes, but better decision making would have not gotten him into a position where he had no other option than to shoot

Rohr was a poison. Killed the flair and vibe of our football with his negativity.

Did you listen to Eguavoen post match interview? He basically said:
We respect Egypt, we respect every team at this Afcon and so we will approach each game with seriousness and play each game like it is a final.

Rohr was just too cautious and negative. He does not know that we are a nation of hope. We have hope, that's why we can survive all the madness and hardship in this hellhole called Nigeria.

And so therefore when we play we play with hope. That's why apart from skills and talents, we win games. Rohr came and took that away. That man na mumu man (in Asari Dokubo's voice)

Ndidi vs Elneny, Salah and the Egypt Midfield... grin

Today's game again proves that Indeed Ndidi can never be overworked in the defensive phase of plays.

He can bear more than 90% of the defensive burden on his own.
The lad eats defensive actions for breakfast, lunch, brunch and Dinner!!!! grin He is the Defensive Midfield General. A real master of breaking up plays.

Never ever doubt his Industry. It is World Class and insanely high. Almost unlimited.

Probably because Nwakali didn't have enough time to warrant full assessment. The AFCON just started and everyone cant play the same time. Let him have his opportunities like others.

Did you watch the last 10 mins of the game?

Nwakali created a big chance for ejuke with a beautifully worked counter from the right wing after he received a turnover from an Egyptian chance and kept the ball, feeding Ejuke who interchanged a pass with him again before Nwakali smartly sent him on the run with a beautiful through pass into space.

I wonder how you missed that. Coz you won't be asking this funny question if you clearly saw that.

Nwakali had a very good Cameo. Pressed well... and even almost bagged an assist. Respect the lad. cool

It's only on this thread I saw anyone critique Moses Simon, even on the man of the match thread in the front page, 90% gave Simon their man of the match.
It tells that some lads here didn't watch the game with an open mind.
Did you notice the standing ovation he was given by the crowd when he was leaving?
Okocha is a respected icon of the game in Africa, I don't think I can disregard his opinion to believe yours tbh.
