Realhommie:The guy doesn't know much about the girl as he's trying to relate the experience! Surely the girl must have been attending our meetings that's why the young man concluded that she's one of Jehovah's Witnesses but there's more to her story. First of all the young man himself has hidden some information: What was she to him? Does she stay with JWs? Or with boyfriend to whom she's not married? In most cases some young men do keep girls attending our meetings while the girls will continue telling them that it's not possible for the relationship to end up in marriage. But they often think they will win her over with time. So if anything happens to her she won't have the courage to meet the congregation for any assistance and her conscience will not allow her go for such assistance where she knew very well that they're not worshiping the same God she knew among Jehovah's Witnesses. That's how Judas Iscariot lived a double life in the first century, after he secured a lot of money from Jesus' enemies he felt he has betrayed Jesus and disappointed all his friends so he threw away the MONEY and committed suicide! So this story is deeper than what the boyfriend is trying to fabricate. The young woman found herself in the middle of nowhere and the man is spiteful! ![]() |

Kobojunkie:What Jesus was calling traditions of men were superstitious beliefs which were opposite the commandments of God. For example, he spoke about their wrong belief as regards what gets a man defiled. Nothing there concerns any festival whatsoever. Else tell us which festival Jesus ever labelled as traditions of men. Secondly, festivals are not laws. The Jews celebrated weddings and even Jesus himself attended one yet there was nowhere in the old testament God ever commanded anyone to start celebrating and entertaining guests after successfully getting married. In fact Isaac didn't do any reception for anyone after marrying Rachael, neither did Jacob on marrying Leah or Rachael. This means celebration of wedding was not originally part of Judaism or Jewish tradition but later came as a tradition of men and Jesus himself attended one of such. Likewise today, you most likely wedded your wife in a Church whereas the tradition of the Jews was to conduct wedding in the house of the groom's father and never inside the temple. Conducting wedding inside churces was originally a tradition of pagan tribes but you underwent it in marrying your wife yet you think you are not practising the laws of men. Even the issue of schooling in an intramural atmosphere towards bagging a certificate is pagan in origin. You probably hold a university degree which you have no problems with. You need a better understanding of what exactly Jesus meant with the laws of men in the passage you cited. One mistake people make is to try to interpret a verse of the bible in isolation from the many other verses which speak about the same subject. In ancient Mesopotamia, in making and sealing covenants, the tradition was that the two persons doing the covenant would stand on opposite sides, hold hands and a third party witness would pass in between thereby separating those hands. When it was time for God to establish His covenant with Abraham he patterned it after the Mesopotamian tradition by asking Abraham to cut each sacrificial animal into two and arrange them on opposite sides. Then He made Abraham fall into a trance and His flashing light passed in between the sacrificed animals. I guess God was sinning against himself by mimicking a pagan tradition to establish a covenant that would become an entire thing of his own Jewish children and their future religion? The name "Zion" was actually given to the mountain by the aboriginal pagan inhabitant tribes which God empowered the Israelites to chase away from the land. On arrival, the Israelites rededicated the mountain to God but retained it's pagan name Zion but changed the meaning of Zion to Mountain of God. I guess the Israelites were adopting paganism by doing that yet God Himself would later accept the mountain as His official abode on earth. Many similar examples abound. Jesus didn't change worship days from Saturday to Sunday but later followers of his did. So why do you involves yourself in worshipping on Sundays knowing fully well that Sunday worship is the doctrine of men which Jesus'never established or commanded anyone to do? You need to free your mind. It is curious that in your response above you cleverly shied away from Paul The Apostle's reference to a Greek idol as the God of heaven in order to connect Christianity to the Greeks through their own pagan traditions. |

MaxInDHouse:Whatever she was to him is no longer of any relevance. He knew more than enough. He posted her case soliciting for financial assistance. He was in constant communication with her, sort of a liason between her and donors/would be donors. I did same for a friend in 2020, soliciting financial aid for her son's heart surgery. The post is still on my Facebook wall, I and another Friend in church created a Twitter handle for her to raise awareness and reach, I also tried reaching out to TundeEdnut via Instagram but he never responded. Well, we were able to raise the funds eventually, about 3million but the baby died unfortunately a week after the surgery. He was just 1. Now, I did everything i did for a friend. She was and still is married but i was there for her. There's hardly anything about the process i wasn't privy to. Would you now come say since i did that for her then there must be something between us? Like i said, this story is very believable because I've seen similar cases. I ask again, what reason would he have to lie? To smear your organization? I don't think so.. He isn't anonymous, you can actually reach him on FB to find out more rather than cast aspersions here because you want to protect the interest of your organization. I dare you to go make your findings then come back here with your findings. Thanks. |

Misinformation. Accepting financial help from any individual or organisation is personal responsibility. It is not part of JW doctrine. We don't have the details and social media sensation may not provide accurate picture. Beliefs of JW, culled from www.jw.org. As Jehovah’s Witnesses, we strive to adhere to the form of Christianity that Jesus taught and that his apostles practiced. This article summarizes our basic beliefs. God. We worship the one true and Almighty God, the Creator, whose name is Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18; Revelation 4:11) He is the God of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.—Exodus 3:6; 32:11; John 20:17. Bible. We recognize the Bible as God’s inspired message to humans. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16) We base our beliefs on all 66 of its books, which include both the “Old Testament” and the “New Testament.” Professor Jason D. BeDuhn aptly described it when he wrote that Jehovah’s Witnesses built “their system of belief and practice from the raw material of the Bible without predetermining what was to be found there.” * While we accept the entire Bible, we are not fundamentalists. We recognize that parts of the Bible are written in figurative or symbolic language and are not to be understood literally.—Revelation 1:1. Jesus. We follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and honor him as our Savior and as the Son of God. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 5:31) Thus, we are Christians. (Acts 11:26) However, we have learned from the Bible that Jesus is not Almighty God and that there is no Scriptural basis for the Trinity doctrine.—John 14:28. The Kingdom of God. This is a real government in heaven, not a condition in the hearts of Christians. It will replace human governments and accomplish God’s purpose for the earth. (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10) It will take these actions soon, for Bible prophecy indicates that we are living in “the last days.”—2 Timothy 3:1-5; Matthew 24:3-14. Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom in heaven. He began ruling in 1914.—Revelation 11:15. Salvation. Deliverance from sin and death is possible through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 4:12) To benefit from that sacrifice, people must not only exercise faith in Jesus but also change their course of life and get baptized. (Matthew 28:19, 20; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20) A person’s works prove that his faith is alive. (James 2:24, 26) However, salvation cannot be earned—it comes through “the undeserved kindness of God.”—Galatians 2:16, 21. Heaven. Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and the faithful angels reside in the spirit realm. * (Psalm 103:19-21; Acts 7:55) A relatively small number of people—144,000—will be resurrected to life in heaven to rule with Jesus in the Kingdom.—Daniel 7:27; 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 5:9, 10; 14:1, 3. A woman and a little girl work together in a flower garden Earth. God created the earth to be mankind’s eternal home. (Psalm 104:5; 115:16; Ecclesiastes 1:4) God will bless obedient people with perfect health and everlasting life in an earthly paradise.—Psalm 37:11, 34. Evil and suffering. These began when one of God’s angels rebelled. (John 8:44) This angel, who after his rebellion was called “Satan” and “Devil,” persuaded the first human couple to join him, and the consequences have been disastrous for their descendants. (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12) In order to settle the moral issues raised by Satan, God has allowed evil and suffering, but He will not permit them to continue forever. Death. People who die pass out of existence. (Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10) They do not suffer in a fiery hell of torment. God will bring billions back from death by means of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) However, those who refuse to learn God’s ways after being raised to life will be destroyed forever with no hope of a resurrection.—Revelation 20:14, 15. Family. We adhere to God’s original standard of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, with sexual immorality being the only valid basis for divorce. (Matthew 19:4-9) We are convinced that the wisdom found in the Bible helps families to succeed.—Ephesians 5:22–6:1. Our worship. We do not venerate the cross or any other images. (Deuteronomy 4:15-19; 1 John 5:21) Key aspects of our worship include the following: Praying to God.—Philippians 4:6. Reading and studying the Bible.—Psalm 1:1-3. Meditating on what we learn from the Bible.—Psalm 77:12. Meeting together to pray, study the Bible, sing, express our faith, and encourage fellow Witnesses and others.—Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 10:23-25. Preaching the “good news of the Kingdom.”—Matthew 24:14. Helping those in need.—James 2:14-17. Constructing and maintaining Kingdom Halls and other facilities used to further our worldwide Bible educational work.—Psalm 127:1. Sharing in disaster relief.—Acts 11:27-30. A congregation meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses Our organization. We are organized into congregations, each of which is overseen by a body of elders. However, the elders do not form a clergy class, and they are unsalaried. (Matthew 10:8; 23:cool We do not practice tithing, and no collections are ever taken at our meetings. (2 Corinthians 9:7) All our activities are supported by anonymous donations. Our unity. We are globally united in our beliefs. (1 Corinthians 1:10) We also work hard to have no social, ethnic, racial, or class divisions. (Acts 10:34, 35; James 2:4) Our unity allows for personal choice, though. Each Witness makes decisions in harmony with his or her own Bible-trained conscience.—Romans 14:1-4; Hebrews 5:14. Our conduct. We strive to show unselfish love in all our actions. (John 13:34, 35) We avoid practices that displease God, including the misuse of blood by taking blood transfusions. (Acts 15:28, 29; Galatians 5:19-21) We are peaceful and do not participate in warfare. (Matthew 5:9; Isaiah 2:4) We respect the government where we live and obey its laws as long as these do not call on us to disobey God’s laws.—Matthew 22:21; Acts 5:29. Our relationships with others. Jesus commanded: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” He also said that Christians “are no part of the world.” (Matthew 22:39; John 17:16) So we try to “work what is good toward all,” yet we remain strictly neutral in political affairs and avoid affiliation with other religions. (Galatians 6:10; 2 Corinthians 6:14) However, we respect the choices that others make in such matters.—Romans 14:12. If you have further questions about the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses, you can read more about us on our website, contact one of our offices, attend a meeting at a Kingdom Hall near you, or speak to one of the Witnesses in your area. Deadlytruth:Even Judas trained , and was sent out at some point to preach and heal in the name of Jesus, this before his final betrayal. His words were at one time also "inspired" by Jesus Christ, but he is the ultimate example for why never to trust the words of the servant over that of the Master. ![]() My point is, Paul, like every other follower of Jesus Christ out there is a servant and will never take the place of the master, whose teachings and commandments we are all to live by and teach others. Jesus Christ never instructed anyone to trust in and obey His servants/followers. He instead called us all to Trust in and obey Him and Him alone. ![]() P.S. Not all of the opinions attributed to Paul in his epistles are inspired by Jesus Christ. Some of them are actually antiChrist. I.e. they are against the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. ![]() |

highoctane:who really is a Jehovah’s witness based on the definitions of your religious organization Correlate my question with those links and see. How do you count the number of Jehovah’s Witnesses? Definition 1 We count as Jehovah’s Witnesses only those who are actively preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom each month. (Matthew 24:14) This includes those who have been baptized as Witnesses as well as those who, though not yet baptized, qualify to share in the preaching work. Definition 2 Do you understand that your baptism identifies you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with Jehovah’s organization? Question 1. Is a baptized member who failed to preach for six month a Jehovah’s witness? 2. Is a baptized member who attends your meetings regularly but do not preach a Jehovah’s witness. 3. Is a baptized member who joins your field ministry but fail to attend meetings a Jehovah’s witness? 4. Is an unbaptized publisher who reports regularly a Jehovah’s witness? 5. Is a baptized member who fail to report his field ministry for just one month a Jehovah’s witness? |

I was once there...I wasn't comfortable with the doctrines that y I left... my person didn't just connect, because I feel limited and restricted... you can't be a musician, you cant go into sports, entertainment, just anything or any career that will make you popular even going to higherinstitutions.....they only thing they encourage is learning a skill...not knowing that not everyone will be interested in acquiring a skill, some people will like to go into entertainment, use their talents for other stuffs, some people want to be in the force but it's highly discouraged...
