Congrats bro, was there today buh was told to come back because of the Surname arrangement. I even try beg omo them no even look my face

I picked up my passport at the Ilorin office today. Issued on 7th of January.

PS: If you need your passport ASAP in Ilorin, try to get to meet the PCO and explain your predicament. He's a nice man and he'll most likely order the immediate printing. I captured August and I saw people who captured December collecting their passports. I had to go and meet the PCO on 7th of January (the same day it was issued) to explain myself. I was in my NYSC khaki and he promptly ordered the issuing. Same with 3 of my corper friends. NB: Some early 2021 files are still yet to get their passports.

PH office is a cesspool of corruption, so going the DIY route is frustrating, tiring and for those in no hurry. Renewal takes 3wks (official statement) but be prepared to wait a month plus for DIY and u must pay commitment fee or else your file will be left unattended. Express cost between 50-70k (all passport) and can be gotten within 72hrs after capturing. Speaking from my experience.

Thank you Sir.I bought one of the officers lunch on the day I captured in the spirit of Christmas, she was the one who informed me that my passport was ready and as well took it since yesterday and kept it for me. As I arrived today she took me upstairs to activate it and in 10minutes I was out of there.

I did my own capturing on 16th sep 2021 and still not ready for collection.
I called one of their staff in osogbo passport office today he said they are still clearing d backlog of july but said pple that applied recently and now ll be getting their passport within 3 weeks henceforth.

I did my capturing today at festac DIY no stress just go early

The was how my journey went yesterday at festac office
1 when I got there I was directed to servicom, the woman wasn't on sit I waited and when she came she verified my documents nothing like aknowledgement slip.
2. She took my payment slip to verify if the payment has reflected.
3. She then asked me to proceed and wait at the registry. The red hall with Airtel stuff . I sat down there only for me to see someone we were screen together by the woman heading towards another hall I left there and follow him not knowing we were sitting at wrong section. I got to know when they came to call some names and my files is not there so I went back to meet the woman and she took me to the Airtel hall. She signed and register in one hardcover book and pass it to another man , that man pass it to one fat old woman but old woman started gisting with her friends and after she was done she left the file for like 15mins and then asked a man to help her pass it to another table after that I notice they took the file from that table with the owner to capture room. When my file arrived at the table I was waiting for the woman to come and immediately she came she just pick her bag because is already past 4pm and I walked to her and pleaded with her to help me , she said even if she took me there I won't be able to capture yesterday, but I said she should just take me there, she instructed one man to take me there and my file was taking inside the capture room while I wait outside till I was allowed to enter for capturing. I left there around 5:30pm . God bless Mrs nwankwo at servicom .

The problem now is that the name on my NIN is Kolawole Adeolu Johnson( Kolawole is the Surname, Adeolu is the first name) thou the passport is not yet out but I checked my application status today with my reference number and I saw my name as Mr. Adeolu Johnson KOLAWOLE on the portal.

Please is that just for the portal arrangement ? or my name will come out as that on the booklet. I'm a bit scared RN!!!

Where did you check application status I have been checking on their portal for a status and it has been showing not found for more than a week now. Do they have another portal

I think if you make payment after November, you will have to check the new portal.

Top of the morning. Please advice if DIY approach for passport renewal is fine at Ikoyi office or make I jejely hustle runs (50k) way out against early march from now. Thanks to all reply.
