Great! I'm also a structural engineer.

I don't know your level of experience, I don't know if you are already here in the UK and I don't know your circumstance. However, I can confirm to you that structural engineers are in HIGH demand across the UK.

Don't hesitate to revert should you need further information.

Thank you. Can I send you a mail?

Sis are you sure it’s true? He didn’t finish his degree? You know this country does not play with their money. I find it unlikely but who knows.

He just needs to show his prove of English language another way instead of using his UK degree.

UK degree is not a prerequisite for health and care visa

I am a registered nurse here in Nigeria. Please I would like to start working in the UK on a Health Care Skilled Worker visa. I just need an agency that would hire me and give me a certificate of sponsorship which I need to process the visa. Please any suggestions of agencies that would do this? It has to be for senior care as the visa specifies.
Please and thank you

I thanked Ralphlauren, Mamatukwas, Chreze, Justwise and Dupyshoo for taking time out to respond to my question here. I have been away sorting out COVID-19 matter and looking for accommodation. No be come chop o kiss cry cry cry

I am grateful. The response opened my eyes more and look ahead to prepare for what future holds.

If not that I earlier got a hint that it may not be possible for my older kids not to pay resident fees in university (although at a later stage of my student route), I wouldn’t have imagined the reality shock l would have experienced after all these struggles.

@Ralphlauren, I guess the case you cited, the boy completed the primary and secondary schools under no legal stay. The stay was perfected a year to finishing high school. Is that not the reason he was denied paying resident fee despite spending many years in UK?

My thought before now is if you’re legally resident (as a student/worker), you are a resident who can also benefit from what govt provides even if you have not achieve your ILR.

If ILR is required for this residency, then I need help/advise for best options I can progress with from here after getting below clarifications:

1. Can ILR be achieved with spending more time outside UK in a year? Considering the UK UNI cost, I am considering (difficult decision) returning my 2 older kids (15 & 16) to Nigeria to stay with their father (but visiting UK on holidays), complete secondary school in Nigeria and seek admission in Canada/US/Nigeria to save cost.
I just read also student must be 17/18 before starting UNI in Scotland/England. A-level studies /college for 2 yrs is required too.

you need to have less than 180 days in 1 year period I think

2. If 1 above can’t work, If both stay back to start UNI in UK, I want to know if residency can be reviewed/changed after achieving the ILR.

3. If I secure work before or immediately after completing my master program, can I switch my visa route and move from 10yrs ILR as student to 5yrs as worker.

yes

Looking forward to your informative response and candid advice. Thanks

Futher advice.....
What are there interest? What are they planning to study in university? It's not a must to go to university depending on what there interest is... Unless they want to be doctors/nurses/etc lawyer/engineers etc? University is not really necessary. They can do apprenticeship, they can look for a job in the field and climb the ladder, they can do short courses etc. I know it's difficult pill to swallow but school is really not the only to progress in life

Not easy yes but it can be done
We got a two bedroom apartment before we left Nigeria. Got it on a Facebook page for the students of the university I'm attending. Only paid deposit and one month's rent and entered straight from airport. I guess we were very fortunate

Extremely lucky oh,. Because this is the new format scammers use to defraud unsuspecting students

Mr Interviewer, I should start analyzing what I used my money for to you because of what? I asked for a request and you are here questioning me like what ? Please keep your questions to yourself. Some people be acting like small god thinking people can’t afford to travel. I have seen your attacks here and how you look down on many.

Bingo!! Here we go, this is what happens when you cheat yourself thinking that you are smart by using untouchable loan to get a visa

I will keep saying it and i couldn't give a rat backside what some of you think about me.

Don't come to the UK if you are not financially prepared, at least for the first 3months, by then you are familiar with few things and get a job to survive.

Ask those encouraging you to go ahead with this perilous journey to accommodation for one night, just a night.

Thanks alot.

I really appreciate all the responses

A bit of tip....Look for school with lesser school fees, affordable city and go for Jan admission.

Jan starts have longer visa duration and holiday, so you will have 2 summer holidays while Sept starts have one and shorter visa duration.

Look for schools with such time table...it will be outlined on their websites

@Maturedhustler, Your 15/16 do not need to go back to Nigeria to attend Uni. In Scotland, they can work and get paid at 16 I think. I read that they will be studying to work in the Health Sector, They can start as NHS support worker after their Secondary education in Scotland and if they are hard working they may be able to to secure sponsorship to enter university and study their dream course from the NHS.

Please nor think of sending them back to Nigeria for any reason biko.

May God guide you in your decisions.

Blessings.

Bro, you should understand justwise thesis. Your problem can’t be met on a place like this, you’ll rather be mocked silently…. Talk to friends and family in Nigeria those are the people that would help you. Cheers

Any site for free accommodation ? Even if it is just for 1 month Biko, this situation is getting me pretty sad.
Or are there places one could get loan here in Nigeria before departure ? Please help me,e I am totally confused on what to do.

I believe under the new points based system for Skilled Workers, it is now possible for a Tier 4 General Student or Student to apply to switch into Skilled Worker visa from inside the UK even without completing a degree course. The restriction for student switching before completion has been removed.

Personally, I will advise you complete your degree if you can. However, If you can't pay your tuition, then it might be better to switch.

This care job is not easy o and not much money in it when you are being sponsored. Imagine working hours for a month to be given just about £1500.

See how calm and explanatory this is. I believe that’s the reason for a place like this. Tho we’ve got different phase with life. perhaps, we tend to have different manners of approach. YouDoWell jòr

On this Thread, I think some people are afraid to say the truth because they feel some gurus or oldies might not respond to their questions when they need help.
We need to learn how to address people, if we feel we might not be able to reply to people’s questions due to personal reason then we don’t need to comment.

We are here to help one another not to discourage. There are better and matured ways to address issue without making others feel bad. In as much as we want to hit the Nail on the head we need to be cautious. Please kindly help if you can, you never can tell who the next victim is. @ Mimi lyrics I must commend you for dropping those job postings, God bless you,God bless us all.

NB: my write up no mean say make u no answer help
Me when I need your help o me I just yarn how I feel. I am still a learner ooo

I don’t think I can try such, I was scammed of a huge money last time concerning accommodation, I can’t go through that mental stress again and this is the reason I want to be there first to see and pay also, I think it is better to pay 6 months upfront or even one year to to avoid stress of thinking about rent fee and having to work too much as I can’t do that due to my current condition and these are the things I’m trying to sort out.
