Don't take your blessings for granted. The economy is really bad and 55k household income is not sufficient even for a a family of 2. My advise is for you to get a side hustle, anything you can do to bring in extra money no matter how little.

You can give your own advice please, stop quoting me. There are creches at places of work especially in schools if she agrees to teach. The kids are old enough to start preschool! His mum will definitely take care of them if his wife decides to work! His wife should get a job and stop being a liability!

My cousin gave birth around October last year & she resumed work in December, it took that long because it was via operation. Just Less than 3 months. Her mum came around to take care of the child. I have seen women who gave birth without operation resume work less than 2 months. How much more a woman whose child is 2 years old?? If you read closely my post, you will find that my biggest worry isn't the mother but the care of the children here.

Also we are not talking here of one toddler but 3 of them.

Caring for a single toddler is a tough job but 3 at a time, that's a full time job on its own and unless he has a fulltime nanny in the picture somehow, how is the wife supposed to joggle that and a job?

With the current situation in Nigeria, even with management, #50k can't be enough for all of you including your mom. Your wife might be so fed up with the triplets consumption, a woman who will take good care of triplets should be very well fed, it's not a easy task at all. Given the ridiculous amount Nigerian schools pay their teachers, her salary may not be enough to buy complete sets of uniform for those kids. Let's not even talk about school fees and the rest.
