Binta Nyako, judge of an Abuja Federal High Court, has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to allow Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to change his clothes.

Previously, Nyako had directed the DSS to allow the IPOB leader to have a bath whenever he wants to, change his clothes, eat properly and practice his faith.

However, at the court session on Tuesday, Mike Ozekhome, Kanu’s lead counsel, complained that his client is still being subjected to poor treatment in DSS custody.

He said Kanu is still being kept in solitary confinement and that any other detainee who greets him is also kept in solitary confinement.

Shortly before adjourning the matter, Nyako reminded the defendant that a detention facility is not a five-star hotel.

However, she reiterated her previous order that the IPOB leader should be allowed the maximum comfort possible, including changing his Fendi outfit with which he was brought back into the country in June 2021.

“I don’t want to see him in these clothes again. This one is almost off-white. Also, make sure that you allow him to exercise," Nyako added.

Ipob should pray Wike is not our next president, that man weh hate ipob, he will just build flyover that runs from Abia to Abuja for easy transportation of ipob to DSS facilities

.. Repeating same outfits over and over at each court appearance is an indicator that the DSS might have limit Kanu's access to his fundamental rights as a suspect that is yet to be convicted.

If you notice very well his posture and gaiet have changed. He has gone slimmer, he stoops when he stands as a result of overseating in one place or lack of exercise and his smiles are all plastic... Kanu should save his young family these stressful adventures. I am sorry he can't win this battle. The politicians will forget all about him as 2023 draws near.
If you also notice his die-hard fans have left him. Reno posts these days are becoming anti-igbo. He is beginning to express some views that he dared not 2 or 3 years ago because he needed his support base-igbos. FFK has moved on and Deji Adeyanju is busy with other things.
Nnamdi, please for the sake of your family reconsider. Nobody feeds the hero's children when he's gone. All these people around you will move on if you drop dead right this moment.
