Yes it's compulsory. As for side effects, it depends. Just had a little fever and pains in the arm i took it just for a day.

sure it will. Though it's validity is 3 months. Meaning, if you didn't get called up after 3 months, you'd have to get a replacement

maybe You meet your LGI to reason with him/her if the new PPA is under same jurisdiction/LG. If otherwise, you'd have to work it to the new PPA

Pls what do I do for a jamb regularization with a misspelt in surname..

I actually applied for jamb regularization in 2015 and when the number will be out my surname was spelt wrongly while my first name was initialised...
And I have submitted the jamb number to school for upload on Senate list which had been done successfully..

I have applied for correction of Names since 2020 but it's yet to be effective...
What can I do??
Is it advisable to do a fresh regularization or not

And again, my plan is to run it on part-time, i.e negotiating with the PPA supervisor cos I won't be able to attend except for the 3 weeks camping which I'll try and make out time, so I don't know how much this can cost me , both to work my Reporting Place to the state I reside.

You can ghost your service completely and your dashboard will be showing present at the end of every month. You can also ghost your service completely but you have to show up for the monthly clearance.

The former all your monthly allowances will be forfeited. While the later 70% will be forfeited

if you have jamb admission letter and your name is on jamb matriculation list then you need not to worry about jamb regularization. But if you don't have jamb admission letter, that means your name won't be on jamb matriculation list. This means that you need to do jamb regularization inorder to get your admission letter and confirm your name on jamb matriculation list

You create a profile, visit jamb office and submit a copy to your school to help forward to jamb

Ghosting your service is easier and i can help you get that done. However, there are different kind of ghosting

1. You won't show up after camp. You'd be absent through out your service year. In this case your monthly 33k will be taken

2. You'd have to show up to collect your monthly clearance letter @your PPA and go for your biometric clearance. In this case 23k will be taken from your monthly allowances then you have the rest to yourself

NYSC make use of your jamb date of birth. If you clocked 30 on or before your result got approved by your school senate then you'd be exempted from service

If your WAEC result state otherwise (not 30 yet) you could try getting WAEC pin to change your date of birth. Although this method isn't that effective. You could try it

The other option left is to work it by influencing your age inorder to accommodate you in getting mobilised for service
