Whether likely or not, you buy zones.

I planned to make my purchases at $32k and another one at $30.5k but I may start to DCA slowly at $35k. I even had a small order at $38.5k trigger today which I quickly sold at $39k when I saw the strength of the downtrend

I also have another thought which is the conservative side of me kicking in. Just fear of interest rate rises have brought BTC down to $36k, and four rises are planned this year. Each one will hammer down on the price and we are already not far from $30k

Bosses in the house like nonut, nna777, Singapore1, Jedisco etc what sort of capital allocation would you consider for the $30k zone? Would you go all in, or save some capital for a worse scenario.

No one knows for sure, but I have been buying a whole lot of ALT...
I think the market is oversold IMO ... except will see a nasty FUD

.6-8 months maybe. Two years is discouraging at this time.

Very discouraging but unconsciously your mind is stronger now at that forethought.

There are opportunities in the bear market as well, just as one actively looks for dips to enter and re-enter a bull market,

One would actively be searching for highs to exit and re-exit the Bear market.

I think the tag line then might be, "sell the high" or "sell the pump" lol.

The question is, what is one's strategy to living life to the fullest SHOULD a Bear market set in?

Plus, it really doesnt have to drag for 2 years.
The whole price crash IF it happens can be done and dusted in a month.

RE: THE CALL FOR HELP ON A CRYPTOCURRENCY DEAL GONE WRONG

I would like to specially appreciate every member of Nairaland for your guidance and support on a cryptocurrency transaction I posted about on the 18th of January which took place on binance exchange between me and Odeyemi Oluwaseun Emmanuel.

I would still want to use this same medium to clearly state that the matter has been resolved and both parties are at peace.

Depends on the coin on your portfolio. I staked some in Binance and some in their respective official websites. Binance staking is almost filled up except for high risk coins.

Thanks boss i also use binance to stake.

This crash should be a lesson to each and every one of us here.
This is a community, and we are all here to help and carry each other along, so from today henceforth let’s Just change our manner of approach here.
If someone gives a call or an opinion and you are not fine with it, just give a constructive arguement but do not insult anyone.
Openheaven said and i quote “take profit aggressively”, a lot of us insulted him/her, now how many of us have come back here to apologize? He/she was right after all, because if you had taken profit, you might just want this whole thing to crash even more. Some of us are down 50%...is that what you want?
This is 2022, I hope we’ve learnt, as this would be a determinant on who will come back here in the next 6months to say they’ve x5/x10 their capital or come to say they are on serious -ve.

There is absolutely no lesson to learn!
U people should stop this take profit & emotional sentiments u people post here all the time, it is becoming irritating!
Is it the profit u took in November u will live on forever?? Whether u took profit or not, the fact remains that long term bear market will not favour anyone. Crypto is business to many, par adventure the bear market continue like this for the next two years, let us see how much u will make from the market in the next two years! Check all the top gainers, they are all stables, what is there to trade? Like I said before when some persons were clamouring for btcee to dip, saying people are getting angry because they want btcee to dip, I clearly stated btcee dip will render the crypto market space inexistence & that is what many don't want. Not because they did not take profit. All who took profit started entering rmrk @30, now it is at @15, if the market continue like this in the next two years, do u think anyone will make something out of it??
Whether u took profit or not, the fact remains long term bear won't favour anyone! Enough of the emotional talk!

Hehe... Bitc0ins brutality no be here...

The significant levels on Bitc0in are 40k, 36k, 30k, 28k, 25k and 20k.
36k is really important... The capitulation on alyts at Bitc0in dipped below is telling... I'm watching to see if it can crawl back above or if it'd reject off it and head for 30k... Eith looks weaker and 2k seems locked in.

The rate and manner of this decline is making the final capitulation wick - one that flushes the market likely.

Alot of folks are calling 30k, but my thinking is that if bitc0in wicks to that level (without a very strong bounce), it's likely eventually flush the whole range....i.e take out 28k too...

Regarding the interest rate hikes, my take is that markets adjust and price in such events... For whatever reason, in any big market, it's extremely unlikely to have 4 capitulation events in a year... Even 2 sef.. They are capitulations for a reason. There's a good possibility that Bitc0in is currently pricing in those moves and would either just remain boring for a while or even rally into those hikes. Same way it sells off after each halving (which is supposed to be bullish)

It's difficult to call this one as Bitc0in can bounce at any of those levels... With Bitc0in, the bottoms are always obvious in retrospect.

The Eithy capitulation is shocking boss. Eithy behaving like a microcap. That ain't good news for alts since Eithy is their standard bearer

I think the pricing in is best judged from the NASDAQ (down 5% this week) and it may not be finished. I would expect a pricing in of such event for equities to hit 10 to 20%. Since BeeTee is the last buy and first sell for institutions, there may still be more downside.

Sometimes Asset markets will oversell to force the FED to choose between Asset markets and the real economy, so I don't think the rate rises are locked in. If inflation stays fairly manageable or improves slightly, we may start to see less hawkish tones from the Fed and a reversal of their stated intention. Fed always acts politically as no Administration will want to be the one that affected støckmarket and everybody's 401k, so they may still go doveish if Asset markets throw enough tantrum. I don't think the tantrum thrown so far is enough to forestall a reaction to 7% inflation just yet though.

At this phase of the market, the best and only play is buying BTC at support, you come dey ask which coin should I hold 2 years like person wey enter crypto yesterday.

If you must buy Alts, look for long term support or psychological levels eg ADA at $1, XRP at $0.60, BNB at $200, SOL at $100 etc

All these levels are broken except BNB. BNB is still somewhat of a stable coin that some people swap coins into on BSc Network when micros are shaking

Only as far as May 2021 support of $400. Februarys support of $200 is still kamkpe

All the others have broken below supports they established in Jan to Feb 21, except SOL which is a more recent support.

In short, I need to see BNB at $200 before I know it has bottomed (relative to BTC $30K) because that's how far it went down in Mays crash. The others are already at the level they were during that crash.

Baba... Eithy go still respect it's oga... The loss of 40k was telling... Even a proper bounce didn't happen.. Either way, I'd expect buyers on eith to turn up 1.8 -2k level...

Good take on traditional markets. The stock markets still have room to dip... Not so much for Bitc0in. If they continue tanking next week, then obviously crypt0 may follow. Na why this weekend selloff dey one kind..... It's still a weekend move though and weekend moves are usually transient.

Let's see how today/tomorrow goes... But so far, I'm not trying to catch the bottom... When a proper bounce happens, it'd be obvious it has... Just that exchanges fit don go offline by then...e dey follow save market

Are you sure bro? Alts still bleed during period of accumulation for BTC. Except we see a heavy bounce which is unlikely after the dump we just had. More likely even if we don't go further down is for BTC to accumulate for a while while Alts bleed

Everything will get back to normalcy, No call for panic.
For BTC to reach a mark of $100k, A massive dip will occur at an early stage which I guess is happening.
Don't fret, stay calm above all be Patient....
