This idea i think is the most realistic idea of all with 400k minus POS. OP can't do both at the same time except he adds POS later. The gas idea does not need even a shop rent. All the people saying barbing, laundry and what not are they going to the Nigerian market to buy things or Cotonou? 400k has no value presently and can only execute a petty business.

With 400k?

400k will be enough if and only if you have land and source of water.
a 12x8 trampoline is around 100 -120k now
Cost of 500 fingerling or juveniles should be between 17500 to 20000 naira
Cost of feed ranges from 12k to 17k for 2mm depends on the type of feed
Other sizes ranges from 8600 to 9800 depends on the type of feed
For 500 fishes you will need between 25 to 33 bags of feed all different in diameter i.e
For 500 fishes you need
2mm - 2/3 bags
3mm- 3/4bags
4mm- 8/10bags
6mm- 8/10bags
9mm- 7/9bags
Once a while you'll need vitamin and other antibiotics
And it takes 4months for the fish to reach table size
So you start harvesting and selling in 4months
So do the maths if you don't have land and water source the I'm sorry 400k won't go anywhere

Wanted to say same thing.
Unless you are opening a large scale provision shop,at the end of the year the person may find the profit,if any,won't even be enough to pay for the next year rent.There would be the people that would start owing u after 3 months of regularly buying and paying.There will be the odd customer that returns an item bought saying it has expired or even tastes or smells odd after opening!
Or the lady that would buy a cream and claims it's not original & has "spoilt" her skin and wants a refund!!
Remember for each beverage or item that gets spoilt or damaged u have to sell about 10 to recoup just the cost of that one alone.
Unless the shop is in a family compound and the person is using it to keep busy,provision shop should be one of the last options.

Lol grin you are very correct. I'm in the village currently. I lost my younger brother. my mother have a provision business. Just yesterday I was asking her how she even make her gains? Her children and ground children just sorounds her, the ones she will not collect will be bigger than the ones she have collected after sales even neighbors will buy on credits, and when you asked for the money you will become their enemy and some will avoid you totally and buys from elsewhere instead of you. Honestly if you must succeed in that kinds of business be ready to fight both your friends and enemy. Because it will surely come.

Op, i will not deceive you. Agriculture is the way to richness in this country now.
INVEST 200K AND GET 1MILLION AS PROFIT.
If you can cultivate 5acres of land.
ploughing of 5acres=#35000.
maize seeds to plant the land= 3basia=#18k.
soyabeans= 3basia=30k.
herbicides=60k.
labourers to work on the farm=40k.
hervesting=30k.
OUTPUT.
Maize(at least 15bags)x#30k=#450k.
soyabeans 12bagsx #50000= 600k.
total output= #1050000.
Don't you think Soyabeans doesn't grow as fast as Maize? One can harvest the maize within 4 months unlike Soyabeans

You need buyers down here before venturing into such business. You know some are perishable goods any delay could lead to loss

The three items i mentioned are perishable goods,but they take time to perish, unlike fruits and vegetables.

You have to have at the back of your mind that no business on earth is easy,so you really have to make some difficult sacrifice.

If you want to venture into it,they are several markets in Lagos where those three items i mentioned earlier are being offloaded.

Do not give anyone money,you have to choose any of the market,go there and make findings,by working with someone/learning the trade for like 1-3months....Even if you don't want to be selling,i would prefer you venture into supply of it.

After you have learnt the selling aspect, because you have to understand how the business is being sold,before you start traveling far north to go source for the commodities.

Trust me,the business is stressful,but there is so much money in it,like drug money.

Why do people keep asking for business to do

Have you not heard of Affiliate Marketing?

This is a business you can start with a very LOW capital

And earn massive income daily.

A 23 year old guy earn 1.9Million in a week, He earned 2.45M the following week and he has been averaging 1M every week.

Keep saying it's a lie.

If you donate blood did you also donate equipment for restoration of it and other hospital services? Donate the blood and forget about if it is free or not.
