Well if you follow her on Facebook, she enjoys our masquerade and culture with passion. Her kids learn how to speak Igbo with the father at free will. She gives the tradition so much respect that she even want to be called Nwaonyeocha in all Alaibo, not just Anambra State. Her enthusiasm is way beyond attributions.

And there is no full blood Anambra woman to occupy the same post.

Anambra indigenous opinions matters, and am from Anambra.

I support soludo to appoint her as whatever commissioner.

As a matter of fact, we should open our arms to the Americans to help us rebuild and develop Anambra state the same way they did in Dubai.

please don't do that, dont devalue your culture, there are certain aspects of it, that need to be discarded, but nevertheless, your culture is your roots, without it, you become rootless, perhaps see how you can build on your culture and discard what is harmful.

cheesy cheesy cheesy, on a light note, i would like to see her become a commissioner, and what her impact will be like/ cheesy/, although i am not expecting anything remarkable, since i dont know her qualifications.

Leave the man and his marriage alone...but if she is qualified and will bring better tidings to the state employ her ASAP.

NO TIME FOR PREAMBLES
Sure we did it first; an American woman married to a Yoruba man was once the commissioner of education in Oyo state during the 90s.

Africans love "whites" more than their own kind.
All ur points hold no water. Tell me one African who was given a position in America or Europe just because he/she was married to a white man or woman.
This is inferiority complex. Admit it.
Africans problem is that we love white men more than they love us. The love we have for them is not reciprocated.
The same love and inferiority complex made igbo people to keep sending their children to white man's land (obodo oyibo) and they were turned into slaves and treated like animals.
I'm not saying igbos should do the same to them. But we should learn to love our own kind first.
There are Igbos holding big positions in the North and South west. How many Hausas and Yorubas holding high positions in the East?
Igbos are not in good terms with almost all tribes in Nigeria. Let them start by strengthening their relationship with their fellow Nigerians, Africans and later they can talk of white men.

Peace!

First of all, I respect your points, but I think your advice is misplaced.

1. How can Igbos have big positions in other parts of the country if they're not working hard and strengthening their relationship with their fellow Nigerians? Abi they just got the position by miracle ni?

2. There are many oyinbo women married to Nigerians, but nobody is giving them appointments. What's your point again? In this case we have a Swiss woman who has done a great job promoting Igbo culture for years - and is resident here. Seems like a logical contender for Tourism, don't you think? Do not dismiss her consideration as mere "inferiority complex". Show me a Hausa or Malawian woman promoting Igbo culture as strongly and consistently - who is being overlooked - and you may have a point.

3. How many Yorubas and Hausas have made the effort to integrate to the point of having high office in the East? You're likely using Lagos, Abuja (and possibly) Kano as yardsticks of Igbos having high office in those regions? I mention those three places because of their unique histories. But let's talk comparables: How about Igbos in Ogun/Osun? Or in Sokoto/Borno?. If Onitsha or Enugu had been capital of Nigeria, you'd likely find Nigerians from other places holding high positions too by now.

4. If you want to talk about a part of Nigeria that has done more to bring Africans together, you need not look further than Igbo: traders, bankers, engineers, nurses, teachers, lawyers, diplomats, ... you'll find them making connections and friends across the continent. The Nollywood that brings us together is mostly based where? The banks that fund most activities in Nigeria are founded by whom? The vast majority of industry is formed by whom? Trading?

Why do black reason like this? So because she enjoys our culture and traditions, vlog about our culture, that puts her in a post to be given an appointment by soludo?

Because I don't see a point in what you just wrote.

If that's the case, then go and marry a woman in swiss, be passionate about their culture and traditions and see if you would be given a political slot because of that.

I don't even know why this is up for debate.

colonial mentalism is still worrying most of us in this country.

That's how schools also grant favors to white kids in this Nigeria just because their skin is white. But, wouldn't do the same for a black kid.

Talking about being an hypocrite, would your people allow an Hausa man to be a commissioner in your state?

We get elected there because we worked for it, and their people decided to put them there. Here, they are just given a post here just because of their skin tone.

Would we even be talking about this if she was a black swiss?
Don't y'all know about white privileges?

Ordinary cigarettes wey I go dey mall parking lot dey smoke, police would come harassing me. But a Chinese man would smoke his cigarettes and enter the same mall and the cop won't do shit, he would even greet him again.

Una go dey lick white man's ass. Na why the Nigerian policeman driving a white man would hit your car and still come down and assault you for it.
That's why the Chinese are mining our resources in our backyards.

Mfs worshipping white heads that don't give a fuvck about them.

Don’t mind them with their low smelling self esteem and very high inferiority complex kawai. See the way Arewa Twitter were just looking them hypocrites yesterday on Twitter. Them never accept that idoma/Hausa woman wey Emeka marry come finish, then never regard Bose from Oyo who’s married to Azubiake finish, they will respect North Korean wife over their brother’s Yoruba wife. Why are the ibos plaqued with low self-esteem such that they seek needless validation from anywhere possible?

Are there no blue blooded, thorough bred Anambra women who can be appointed to serve the state?. Bianca was denied the chance to pick up a ticket to serve just because she was only married to Ojukwu, therefore considered unfit to represent Anambra in any capacity. But a foreign woman with a white skin is hypocritically being mooted as deserving of an appointment to serve over an average Anambra woman who is looked down upon as a slave. Little wonder ibo women are an object of oppression, humiliation and dehumanization in their marital homes.

Is a lie. We really followed that event. And that event really exposed igbos for whom they really are..no sugar coating of words. Una never accept women from same south east finish..Anambra pple will discriminate and look down on an Ebonyi wife but will wholeheartedly worship the ground of their North Korean wife. You pple should work on yourselves and stop arguing.
Back in KC Lagos..I still recall how my classmate always laments of the ill treatment given to his mother from his father’s pple over his step mum who was a white woman. His mum is from Anambra married to an Anambra man,his father also married a white woman from Ireland

But if na Yoruba,Edo, Efik,Ijaw,Huasa woman married to an Igbo man, who is made a commissioner, Una nor go let us hear word. You guys would stage a protest against her .
Thesame thing the Yorubas are doing against Akeredolu wife, becos she is Igbo . Make tribalism nor kill Nigerians.
Make sure your mouth is rightly connected to the brain before spewing a load of garrulous horseshit. If Yoruba were as much discriminatory, they wouldn't have elected Aketi in the first place. The only grouse a number of them have with Aketi's wife is her overbearing influence in the Government house such that she imposes her relatives into certain political offices over the more deserving indigenes. Government house is not an in-law affairs, to such extent her limited knowledge has failed her. The Governor of Oyo is married to an Ijaw woman and nobody has had an issues with her because she is well informed to not interfere in such affairs. The next time, do not compare humans to animals.

If Nigerians can go abroad to various countries and become citizens, immerse in the culture to the extent of seeking elective positions ,win and get appointed to government positions. What is the issue if same situation happens here.
We just like to make issues out of nothing.

Igbos can only benefit from u, u can never benefit from them. Igbo land is now a death trap to Hausa and Yorubas. Any little misunderstanding they'll burn u to ashes.
I don't expect u to agree with me. You'll always support ur colonial masters who enslaved ur people.
If slavery is still open, many igbos will happily sell off their children to the white men.
We have been promoting white men's culture and even abandoned our own culture for theirs but we didn't get award or any position from them. Just one white lady promoting ur culture and that qualifies her to hold a high office in Igbo land.
Who do una like this?
