Almunjid: Don't let social media especially Nairaland deceive you that Igbos are not in good terms with fellow Nigerians. The truth is money is in good terms with money. The people who are not in good terms with each other are those hurting economically no matter the tribe. Hunger/poverty is not in good terms with Hunger Did you see that Abba Kyari attended Obi Cubana's mother's burial? Did Lola Okoye tell you she has a problem with her Igbo husband? Did AY tell you that he is not in good terms with his Igbo wife? Is Joseph Yobo not in good terms with Adaeze Yobo (an Igbo girl)? Just so you know. all your governors and politicians regardless of tribe are in good terms with each other. After quarrelling in the news, the members of Arewa consultative forum and Ohaneze will go out and laugh at the common Nigerian over bottles of beer and wine. I believe that the average Igbo man is not in terms (good or bad) with anyone. He just wants to do business and go back home safely. You also forgot to include the source/link for your assertion about Igbo men wanting white wives. Could you paste that? 3 Likes |

SportsHD: If you're that tired over there, then leave and come back to your country. No one forced you to leave in the first place.. @op, I don't see anything wrong with giving her the position, Lord knows the past people that have occupied the position of commissioner/minister for tourism both state and nationwide haven't made much impact whatsoever. Nothing wrong with changing the tone a little bit and trying other options, besides she'll most likely incite foreign interest into the Nigerian culture much better than an Anambrarian will. |

Why not? I see no reason why she shouldn't be given an appointment to serve in her state. As long as she is a Nigerian wife she is automatically a Nigerian. Most Nigerians want to take but not give. We celebrate when a Nigerian is given a government appointment in the UK/US. . |

That is another way of saying the Igbo man is neutral. That is my belief, it may not be true. The Igbo may actually be in good terms with others, but I have no source YET to prove that or otherwise, that is why I choose a neutral stance. However all those marriage examples cannot be disregarded. Do you have the link now? |

SportsHD:you are being sentimental. I don't care what your personal experience is in whatever country you stay, I care about being objective here. Be it white or black or green, she is an Anambra woman by marriage and she is as qualified as anyone else from Anambra. Quit being petty. That woman has shown more interest in Igbo culture than your so many Igbo people whom because they were born in Abuja and Lagos and, have refused to teach their kids Igbo language but are proud to flaunt their Yoruba or Hausa Speaking prowess . I repeat again. She is qualified. |

Shokoloko:Igbos neutral? Did u know the meaning of neutral at all? Lol U can't benefit from igbos, but they want to benefit from u. They're selfish. Their relationship with other tribes outside igbo land is OK (and that's y they get high positions in some states in South and North), but their relationship with other tribes doing business in their own land is always very poor that's y Hausa and Yoruba will hardly get any political appointment or high position in igbo land. That's the real definition of selfishness. 2 Likes |
