'Polytechnic' doesn't always mean what you think it means.

Many Polytechnics abroad grant Bachelors & Masters degrees from US to Europe.

Schools like EPFL Switzerland, the Ecole Polytechniques in France and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA) are (by name) Polytechnics BUT are all better than ALL Nigerian institutions by many measures.

My exact thoughts. Seeing that room you just know that ventilation and heating is poor! Poor kid must have frozen to death! His room and life in Nigeria was far better than this.

You're right. But even here in Nigeria, a hostel picture from a private university recently surfaced online. To say the least, it was poor. The parents claed to have paid 1m + a session.
