Good evening... Does anyone know the price of toks Honda Accord 2009 engine mounts.

I'm also considering changing the steering rack and pump. So it'll be great if I can get an estimate for those too (toks too)

Also, quick question: can bad engine mounts cause the car to vibrate upon acceleration and deceleration? Please note i already changed cv axles and brake discs. Thanks

I need help

I just changed the engine of my Honda Civic 2002 EX. After putting the new engine, the RPM, Temperature and D, D3, D2 lights refused to work and on. If I put in D, no light, it will drive but like using gear 4 of manual gear to move, sharp movement is impaired. Everything was working perfectly before the engine replacement.

Took it to rewire, they scan and scanner was unable to connect with the car. The person now said the Brain box might have been affected and said he will repair it for 30k and if he couldn't repair and get the car back to normal working condition, I will buy another brainbox.

Pls who can give some insights and how much is the brainbox for honda civic 2002 ex

Thanks

Please I need technical support for Honda City 2006 automatic 7 speed mode.

I noticed that lately when you are on a slow speed and you decide to accelerate again ,it jerks and jerks vigorously when you attempt to climb a hill.

Also, I noticed that after it has been driven for some time and parked, by the time you want to drive again say after another couple of hours it doesn't respond when you put the gear on drive. It will just revv and no motion will take place until you change the gear back to park and then back to drive twice or more before it will now respond. Though when on reverse or neutral it doesn't behave like that.

I also noticed that I could be driving and occasionally it will just revv by itself and no motion will take place for a couple of seconds. Instead you could see a deceleration of the gear speed back to 1 even when you try to fire the engine. I will have to switch between park and drive for it to respond again and move .

Lastly I noticed the green light when on drive could be blinking when I intend to start the car at times. I will have to allow it cool for some time and restart the car before the blinking stops.

Please what can be the issue? My mechanic says it was initially coil affecting the transmission , we changed it, later we changed the plugs and also one of the sensors but the these things still continues... And the jerking can be very profound if the A/C is on and you are about to accelerate maybe after a hold up. Someone said maybe it's the gear but sincerely on a normal speed no jerking of any sort. I changed the ATF to Jeezco ATF some months ago around October.

Kindly help pls.

Good afternoon. I just bought my first car and I’m in utter regret. It’s Honda CRV 2008 Nigerian used. The middle man was recommended by a trusted person and he didn’t do his due diligence. The car had body works and to me it was working well. I got home and discovered later that the central lock didn’t work for one door, the boot that was opening didn’t open again, sometimes the car won’t start (maybe battery and kickstart) problem. The remote will work today and not work tomorrow.

Also they did a scan and it brought this: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Malfunction.

P0172
P145C Code - Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Range/Performance Problem

Currently, I’ve been able to resolve the problem with one of the doors not central locking and I know the kickstart and battery problem is just to fix it. But the boot not opening is giving me lots of concerns. Panel beater has checked it out, Rewire is saying it might be a connection problem. Every Rewire is complaining that the car has been worked on a lot, join-join. I’m tired. I’m thinking of going back to the dealership to swap or upgrade to another car. I no fit for wahala. But they keep reassuring me that once I fix this issues everything will be well. Just today today o they discovered that the exhaust is not even the right exhaust for it.

What should I do pls?

That City uses CVT gears and are fluid sensitive.
Just save and buy another gear, this time get the original Honda CVT fluid.

First of start by ordering the recommended transmission oil from Lagos and change the present oil.

The D light blinking is a red flag. Please stop driving it around till the transmission Oil is changed otherwise you need to save for a new gear box.

If the car is driving well and all gears are working properly including the AC and fuel consumption is economical, just fix the other things you have mentioned and enjoy your ride.

Good afternoon.
Have the following problem with my 2008 HONDA CRV
1. Car suddenly dies while driving (did this like 5 times at different locations today) but starts immediately i turn it on.
2. Accelerating is sluggish an jerks and doesnt exceed 4000rpm...it would just rev high but wont change speed.

scanned it and showed the following codes;
P0010 - A camshaft position / actuator circuit open Bank 1
P0339 - Camshaft position Sensor A circuit intermittent

Please, i want to know ;
1. how much fixing this might cost

Also, i would be glad to get an estimate for a complete rewiring work for the car. Thanks

Your car no get manual? A lot of Nigerians don't deserve cars. So you had to contact an uneducated roadside kazeen just to know the right fluid for your car when you have the car manual and even have a phone that connects to the internet? You deserve flogging not just comic offerings. Well, new gearbox loading.

I will like to know if the recommended ATF for Honda City 2006 can be gotten in Abuja and where, I am hopeful changing that will help the transmission considering the fact that the issues just started lately?

Someone recommend Oando ATF can be managed though not the exact recommended. I don't know if that can work if the recommended one can't be gotten

Thank you all for the feedback. I appreciate them all including my Oga that recommended that I should be flogged.

Draining out the palm oil and putting in the recommended transmission fluid at this point will leave you with a 20% probability of your issues being resolved and as you can see that is a very low chance but shoot for the moon if you have a lucky vibe

You can also download your vehicles owners manual from the internet to your computer or phone. The price for ignorance is what you’re about to pay

If you’re not yet ready to scrap your car then run away from both oando oil and whoever’s making such suggestions to you in the first place

From the codes that popped up from your vehicle it means your case is very deadly to your engine if not handled properly and on time.

Your camshaft position sensors are on the top (driver) side of your engine so tell rewire to check the wires and sensors then maybe change them both if the wires seemed fine.

If the sensors themselves are good then you’d have to quickly change out your timing chain and tensioner rod or else you will risk your chain breaking and the pistons colliding with your valves and destroying your engine

Good evening Gurus in the house, I drive 2007 Honda Accord 6 cylinder engine. I noticed some days back if i start the Car, the engine off immediately, it went on for like 5 mins then it started and Later that day
stopped on the road. Call my rewire and he said its fuel pump.

Bought a new fuel pump but the problems persist, Mr. Rewire said its the nozzles and he bought the 6 nozzles. He also changed the Cold start. Alas, the car started working well and after 2 days, the problem came back. Its now that i have to start like 10 times before the engine would be able move without the engine been off.
If i parked the car for like 3 hours, it would take constant ignition rolling for like 10 times before the engine would stop to off...

Please help a brother, i have also scanned but and nothing spectacular was seen. I stay at Ibadan

If I may ask, if I do change the camshaft sensors, why do I have still have to change the timing chain ?

Sorry maybe i wasn’t clear before

after you change the sensors you should find a scanner to clear the codes (or remove the negative battery terminal for 10minutes and put it back) then start the car and take it on a test drive and watch if the code will pop up again

If it doesn’t then you’ve solved the issue

But if the same code comes up again it simply means that you have to change your timing chain and tensioner as soon as you can or stop using the car for the meantime

That code you’re getting means your timing chain has stretched dangerously and is overdue for a change. That’s why your car is in limp mode and not allowing you go past a certain speed. The car is just giving you rope to go to the mechanic grin left for the engine it’s ready to keep you stranded in a heartbeat

Your engine is an interference type so if that stretched chain should break while you’re driving the first thing you will feel is a tremendous loss of power then your engine will sound like a horse galloping on tarmac and at that moment if you happen to take a look in your rear view mirror you’d definitely see a big white cloud of smoke escaping from your exhaust pipe

Most of the damage will happen in your cylinder head and below is a good list of stuff you would need to repair the engine if you’re lucky

front chain guide
upper chain guide
rear chain guide
tensioner
Timing chain
A number of cylinder intake or exhaust rocker assemblies and valves
Cylinder head gasket
Mechanic Workmanship

If you’re very unlucky your engine will vomit it’s piston through the block and out of your bonnet (hopefully not through the firewall wink towards your blokos)

Then you’d also need to change pistons, rings, camshafts, etc——finally ——> kuku buy another engine

It’s a very serious stuffs bros undecided

Your engine is fine just check the sensors first and if they are good then get another timing chain and tensioner and replace the one currently in the engine

You’d be fine
