Hello all, please I’ve been waiting for a decision on a visitors visa application which has been carried out since 22nd November, and it’s still at DMC stage.

Is there anyone else who made their visiting visa application in November and still waiting, because I’ve been following this thread and some people who applied even in January have gotten their applications approved already.

Is there a special issue or so ? Or is the UKVI clearing applications from the earlier batch, it’s been so frustrating…
Same here, biometrics on 24th Nov, i went to tls last week, dey told me passport not ready for collection. I should go and wait for their mail

From experience it usually takes one working day to get to Osun, from the email that confirms dispatch. You should have the courier tracking number that was given to you at your biometric appointment.

You can fly from the issued Visa valid from date. That said if you are a student i believe you can only fly a month to your resumption. You will need to book your flight, ideally avoid European Airlines, as transit visa is required.

The covid rules that apply to anyone coming into the UK varies based on whether you are fully immunised or not. Check the UK government website closer to your journey time, as the rules are constantly changing.

If I may ask, is this a Visit visa application, if yes when was your biometric. Trying to figure out the average processing time.

You might want to write strong worded letter, after which if things don't change within 10wd, you lawyer up and lay rightful claims. Meanwhile have you visited tlc to inquire things?

I think you should wait for a response since you have laid a complaint, at least and if possibly 20wd period. However, if you feel las las las na to reply then that is your decision and one you and your family can do at anytime.... The ONUS is on you and your wife to demonstrate that a valid visa is needed.

Further, you may find this useful a draft "letter of sponsorship or how to go about addressing concerns you have raised here for past few days.. I may have unknowingly included some info based on my own personal circumstances and as such you must try to read, analyze and deduct where necessary. If you verbatim the note, and your circumstances are not as such as represented, it may lead to another rejection. I had thought i could write a guide as well for the applicants but time would not permit. sorry and success.

LETTER OF CONSENT AND SPONSORSHIP FOR MY FAMILY FOR A SHORT VISIT TO THE UK FOR THE PERIOD 30.03.2030 to 14.03.2030
RE: Mrs.-------- passport no.(94588732484- Main applicant), Miss( Uk visit, passport no-daughter), Mr. Uk visit, passport no. (2130448556-son), Uk visit, Passport no.(21834849392-son).

I am (Name). I am a dual citizen holder(.................). I am (Occupation) and work with …………. (company). I earn ……… monthly and ……. yearly…. I have worked with this (company) for 3 decades, during which I have earned a few promotions to my current position. In addition to my primary job and source of income, I run a part-time business(selling and buying of cars and properties as applicable to you). I am a resident and owner of the aforementioned residence address in Nigeria. I live with my wife and our three lovely children, and I am the sole breadwinner of my wonderful family.

My family (wife and children) intend to visit the UK for tourism, for the period stated above. This visit is one, initially planned for the year 2021 during the Christmas and festive seasons. However and unfortunately, the emergence of covid-19 variant of concern Omicron, which had caused the UK government to include Nigeria in her red list, and other points and areas of concerns as were indicated by the entry clearance officer, resulted in my wife’s and children’s visa application refusal. Having carefully analyzed and examined these points and areas of concerns noted by the ECO in the refusal note, and thus, moving forward; myself and my wife have corrected these areas of concerns and reached a conclusion(collectively), and as such my wife and children would be re-applying for a tourist visa to visit the UK during the Easter holidays.

It is in this regard I am writing this letter. I wish to declare my consent, acknowledgement of the stated travel plans and dates and have zero objection in this regard. Whilst I would have loved to travel with the family for this wonderful vacation, I am unfortunately not able to do so at this time as I would be busy with my primary Job and can not afford my annual leave at this time. Also, I am happy to state herein that I am co-sponsoring this trip(i.e myself and my wife are financing the trip collectively). In light of this, I had on the 29th, February, 2017, transferred to my wife’s personal account the sum of 1,500,000 million naira only. I had decided to make these funds available to my wife and children at this time as it would be needed for the visa processes; such as logistics to and back from the submission center, payment of visa application fees for my wife and children and as would be sufficient for other expenses to be incurred during their trip to, within and for a return back to Nigeria.

Consequently, my wife and children during their trip, will not have any need or reason to access the UK’s social system, seek recourse for public funds nor overstay their visit. This is so, because funds made available by myself and wife would be and is sufficient to cater for the well-being, safety, and their day to day welfare during their short stay in the UK and is fully accessible by my wife for this purpose. Regardless of funds I have made available to them at this time, in the event of any unforeseen circumstances, and should my family need any more financial assistance from me at a later time, I shall not hesitate to provide such assistance, to ensure that their visit ends in success and positively.

For your consideration, Identification purposes, and to support my financial capabilities and capacity, I have provided with my wife(main applicant) and children(dependants) with copy(ies) of the following as supporting documents to be included in their visa application and these are;
1.Passport data page
2.Employment letter, payslips and my salary account bank statement.
3.My personal non-salary bank statement- Note, this account is funded mainly from my part-time earnings(as such I have also included recent receipts of sales of cars, properties made by me to support my claims of another source of income and source of funds into this account), likewise and in some instances funds are transferred from my salary account to this account. This account also further demonstrates other family financial commitments I have singularly resolved in the past as the sole breadwinner of my household, one I am proud of, as a loving father and husband(these includes but not extensive, payment of my children’s tuition, purchase of groceries and other family expenses as well the recent 1,500,000 million naira cash transfer to my wife’s personal account, one i have made available for my wife and children’s intended trip to the UK).

I wish my wife and children a memorable trip to and back from the Uk. I look forward to their safe return from the United Kingdom after their visit. This is necessary as they would. upon their return, resume studies(my kids), whilst my wife would have to return to work and most importantly to reunite again and continue our happy family lives.

Thank you

To my best of understanding it does not matter. But if you have one provide, if you don't have any, you can get one and if you can't get one at this time, you can only submit what's at your disposal.

Hi guys, A friend just got a refusal for the following reasons.

an any one help on reapplying and what to add to the re-application?

Thanks!

I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:  You state that you intend to come to the UK for 5 days to attend a business meeting. However, I note that you have been employed within your current organisation since November 2017 and the documents provided do not demonstrate that you have made a comparable business trip to the UK or elsewhere for similar purpose.

 Furthermore, the documents you have submitted do not demonstrate that your employer has previously funded staff to attend this event and neither you nor your employer has explained why it is necessary for you to attend the event. In addition, you have failed to satisfactorily explain what benefits will accrue to your employer from your attendance at this event. This damages the overall credibility of your application.

 In light of all of the above, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraph V4.2 (a) and (c).

Hello Giselle237,

I have pasted your previous response to my query below, just to remind you our last conversation.

i do believe closing balance does not matter for fully sponsored as I have seen some pretty bad statements . most ecos want to see your personal financial circumstances in your country which is the bank statement even if someone is paying for the trip. How do they know what life you are living? How can they tell your situation ?
Three things tht dnt look right that was filled on the fomr
1. Unemployed
2. You stated she does not receive any income. Money from her husband as allowance is income, money from family members and cash gifts etc are incomable and should have been filled there.
3. You quoted her monthly expenses as 25k with no bank statemt for them to align if this was true or not.
The profile looks like one of someone who is financially incompetent and could run to the uk and seek asylum or recourse to public funds or of they see a paying job will not want to return home.
I believe since she is nearly elderly and has a husband and perhaps other children in nigeria, her situation could have been presented differently even though it is a sponsored trip. You could have shown other ties. Even linked her to her husband more especially if he has properties and align it as belonging to them etc.
What to do next. Take a look at her bank statement say in the last 3 months. How does it look?
Ingoing? Outgoing etc
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have had a look at her two bank statements for the last 6 months.
- Her savings account has a closing of 400kplus. It's very clean, 9 deposits all made by her in the last six months. Minimal withdrawals too.
- Her day to day account. Closing balance of 1k plus. It's very busy, deposits from her kids, husband, in-law, and those I don't recognise their names.
- I have looked at her husband's payslips, 300kplus a month.
- The two landed properties are in her husband's name. One document is missing, they are looking for it but one document is available.
- She is retired and receives pension but we repeatedly requested for a letter from the pension people but they refused to write one. They kept insisting she get's a letter from the UK embassy as proof of why she needs the letter. It's not possible to do this so I went with the unemployed option. This pension is not paid monthly but four times a year. It's paid into her busy day to day account and on the statement, the pension appeared on the 1st of July and 1st of October.
- She does have a petty business, not registered, really small.

- Which of her bank statements do I submit considering all I explained?
- Would her husband's payslips and the one landed property documents be enough?
- To articulate her monthly income, do I calculate all deposits from my dad and the rest of us for each month? It would vary from month to month.
- Is there still need to mention the pension issue since we already went with unemployed?

Thank you so much.

I'll welcome contributions from everyone that can help please.
