A Nigerian lawyer, Ani Nnamdi Chris has encouraged men who are planning to get married to save themselves from expenses by going for modest wedding, IGBERETV reports.

Ani, who got married in Port Harcourt on Friday revealed the modest expenses he had to make on his wedding day.

Sharing photos from his wedding on Twitter, he wrote;

"I got married yesterday (Friday) at the Port Harcourt Marriage Registry. I paid a statutory fee of N15,500 and additional N5,000 for what the Registrar called 'drink money'.

"Thereafter, I hosted 10 guests (including my wife and I) to a beautiful reception at a lounge, PH."

In a subsequent tweet, he concluded,

It's very simple, that's if you don't have a woman who isn't ready to manage cos some ladies like overdo, they don't even mind borrowing money to wed, which is foolish in my opinion.

What about traditional and church marriage

Was it the same 10 people crowd that you gathered or they were more

The way you arranged your marriage is the way people will attend, you are not doing it to impress anyone

But to fulfill all righteousness

Nna mehnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

There is this girl in my life dreaming of how our wedding and marriage will be the talk of the town, she is saying we'll do it in a massive way...

Remember this girl is still living with her aunty and has no dime to contribute cheesy cheesy cheesy

But I am going to find out very soon if her hymen is still intact because it will be so unfair of her and I won't take it if she gave her hymen to another man and expect me to pay a higher bride price. angry angry

Church, Traditional, court- not all 3 are compulsory. You can do 1 and go to the registry to get your certificate. Not until you and your spouse enter embarrassing debt.

What causes the overdo most times is by trying to impress and outshine previous friends’ weddings , forgetting that wedding isn’t a competition.

I hope you married that woman a Virgin?

Non-virgins/PROSTITUTES have no business getting married. They should continue doing what they do best, sampling dicks bigger than their father's Head grin

But jokes aside,if you Are An Average man earning 100k monthly or thereabout, and you have a wedding worth millions, you are a very Stupid Fool! You men should just stop trying to over prove yourselves. Don't live to impress or show off.

Do wetin your power catch, have your wedding, and take your virgin wife home to break open the seal.

To be honest, marriage with a non virgin Nigerian girl shouldn't be a thing of celebration.

Wise groom.

God bless him more.

Even though I'd prefer a quiet wedding but I know it's not going to be possible. The way my mum goes about the day her only daughter will get married is scary to me, I don't want to deny her that joy,so as for me there's no quiet wedding even though I don't like it.

You are absolutely right! Men should stop trying to prove themselves. All you need is drop down your ego.

With packaging and looking presentable, you can always hunt and catch a rich girl.
With help from her dad and Mon, you can have a lavish owambe.
Her Mon & friends do pepper then gang with matching outfits.
In return, you enjoy the benefits of big wedding.
Just be humble to her family and you men won't have problem as long as you always respond with YES MA kiss

I put my faith above tradition so I would chose Church wedding anytime. As for registry, na only certificate I need, not a big deal.

Ehen. When they now wallow in debt to their own detriment, their secret will be open for all to see...

It pays to be humble and wise, life is not a competition.

So meaning that you will just take some one daughter without the knowledge and drink to her family, that's what traditions stands for

Church wedding is for God's additional blessings

Registry is for proper documentations

So all of them counts

Normal introduction will be taken care of, all the wine and drink stuff will be done.

But then, the concept of "somebody's daughter" is something you guys give an ill definition. In America, it's the bride's family that pays for wedding costs. In India, it's men who collect a groom's price. And what I just said is way far from that... So take it easy sister, I ain't marrying you. wink

Word bro!
Virgins are meant for marriage(bride price...)înclusive...

The rest are meant for boyfriend and Girlfriend.
