This is called the "Hand drop test" and it's used in the emergency room to determine whether or not a patient is faking unconsciousness. The idea is that when a patients hand is about to hit his or her face, a reflex will prevent the hand from hitting the face in a patient who is faking. This will save a patient from unnecessary interventions.

The sternal rub too is also a test used to know the degree of unconsciousness in a patient.

The patient was clearly conscious because an unconscious patient will not remember the details of events that happened while in an unconscious state.

Clearly, this said patient has an underlying psychiatry condition.

The doctor shouldn't have gone to the extent of inflicting injury because the oath says " do no harm". That's probably why he was arrested... But that aside, his medicine is sound.. he was right. She was faking

Medicine and teaching are two jobs with so much love attached....it shocks me whenever i read news of doctors and teachers treating the sick and pupils with hate and wickedness.
Lolz, I don't know if they have changed, but general hospitals those days, even private hospitals it was normal to slap and beat patients especially women in labor.
My late doc friend told me it helps the women give birth. That some were spoilt and too lazy to push, so you slap them.
One my paddies wife years ago after giving birth went to assault a nurse at Crystal hospital akowonjo for how she beat her during labor.
Maybe this doc has taken naija mentality to the US.
Law suit will make him pay dearly.

He shoulda kept his personal opinions to himself and followed medical procedures.

Now he will pay through his nose and will never be trusted again with a patience. That is if he is found guilty.

He shoulda kept his personal opinions to himself and followed medical procedures.. he may not be struck off but will not be trusted with any patience again.

As a nigerian doctor in the US he must have worked so hard to get where he is and this tiny moment of unproffessionality would ruin it all for him.

With one doctor sometimes seeing 100 to 140 patients a day and one nurse sometimes responsible for 40 to 50 patients, plus the stress the same doctor or nurse is under every day, yeah it is a big ask to be gentle and nice.

And after many of us have to do side hustle to supplement meagre pay.

Walk in some people's shoes before you mock them

Crap.

He is the only doctor in US!!!@!

My comment was not referring to the doctor in the US, but to conditions of medics in Nigeria.

Thanks.

What is wrong with his hair?
You uncivilised goon grin see how you sat in your small minded hut in your small village lashing out your frustrations on a Doctor! the guy is a medical doctor in Florida! something you would never dream off in your whole entire sad life. grin

The way you hate this guy as if he stole your dick from you. Jeeeeeez!! No one will revoke his license, he probarbly will pay compensations to the so called victim, he has being accussed that's all. He has not being proven guilty yet so you can go hit your head on the rock somewhere.

Yes, he should be arrogant, he must have worked so hard to become a medical doctor in Florida. He deserves to be arrogant, you think it is easy to deal with white patients. Some of these white bitches even assaults black nurses sometimes even doctors and still gets away with it. Do you know how many times i ve had to restrain white drugged up and sick white femalea from assaulting healhcare workers in hospitals?

Go and sort your own forked up life out don't worry about the doctor.. he is better than you.
