I'm aware of what your screenshot says, surprisingly United States was left out in the second one.

Like I said you're in for a huge surprise if you think that Scandinavian countries aren't racist or some other ones on that list.

Just do your best to develop thick skin and don't let it get to you if you experience it.

And I never said the aren't. My point was the Scandinavians, and Europeans as a whole are the least racist and the most loving people on Earth. Go and do your research well.

Excluding England though.

There are some small countries you will arrive in at Europe they will welcome you as if you are there long lost son.

They see blacks as celebrities and would outrightly tell you they don't have much blacks as tourist thought the year.

The United State you talked about was not very far that list. Former Racism index report (2020/2021) showed the U.S were one of the worst. They have always been topping the chart for the worst.

See picture below for yourself. This is U.S site condemning their country for racism. And as you can see the fell into the 69th place.

I like arguing with fact. That how gentlemens argue not based on speculations or rumours.

I understand you though (when you said prepare your mind). Ofcourse it what every right thinking person should prepare his or her mind for.

Come to think of it, the racism I experience in Nigeria, Especially as an Igbo, I don't think it's anything compared to what I will be facing there. So I will take it.

Uncle, if you really wrote this, even while asleep, one has got to wonder how you came to be doing Masters. I think you should be doing JS1

I did not invite to my thread English teacher and due to your lack of exposure let me inform you that 40% of people living in the UK can't speak English because the UK is a develop country full with alot of countries that don't speak English and there survive well. If u think u know English then write Ilets exam and screen shot it for me to see or even show me your wace result let me see. You body shammer

Oga your first writeup is bad for a Masters candidate if is even true. Instead of you to take correction and improve on this aspect which will also help your education you are defending yourself with another diaster.

If u continue to write your tests, exams and projects like this when you see your results nor shout racism o.

@Topic:
Racism is one of the things u ought to know you will have to deal with in a white man's land.

Always watch your back but don't burn your bridges. You are in their country, you need them they don't need you abi you come back to 9ja?

Respect and don't force yourself on anyone.
Work on your emotional strength.
Dey package as your power reach.
Face wetin carry you go there.
Not all Brits are rascist.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in any way defending his actions, but what you experienced at the hands of the white guy is nothing compared to the kind of tribal hatred and hateful comments by some Nigerians here in Nairaland. You need to read some comments in the threads to understand the point that I'm trying to make. We feel it's okay to hate on one another and abuse ourselves based on ethnicity. But when the whites do the same to us, we cry and start to protest.

Don't mind them! Hypocrites! As if we love ourselves in this country.

A northerner selling onions was hit by a runaway driver, those around refused to take him to the hospital. The most wicked part is that the general hospital is just a stonethrow away, before some of my colleagues got here he was already gone.

That day I hated my fellow deltans.

Too shameful, I agree. A house divided unto itself cannot stand.

God bless you my brother ...... I suffered this same thing in Benin from a woman who claims to be born again and was my boss , telling me that the over all boss said there's no job for non Edo people. You see that racism is not only in white land but it's here but not pronounced.

Just this afternoon I was supervising a project that I have been doing with an institution when one of the staff spoke their local dialect to me, I told her that I am still to understand the local dialect. The next thing she said was " how come they gave this contract to a stranger."

I subtly gave her an epic reply. she tactfully change the conversation.

You sure say na masters you go do so? You write like a primary school pupil.

What has English got to do with master's? I'm confused, do they teach people English language in Universities apart from electives in 100 level.

Just in case you don't know. What determines your proficiency in English is your formative years. You can just improve later, if you didn't attend a good pry and sec School, you are done for. It doesn't matter the university you attend except you decide to learn it on your own. My point is, it has nothing to do with your level of advanced education.

Why is English language required to gain admission into the university?

There's a difference between being able to pass an English exam and knowing how to construct a grammatically correct sentence.

A science student does not have any opportunity or incentive to learn English language in the university except for personal development.

Just be grateful that you had the opportunity to learn it growing, i know you probably speak it at home with your parents and siblings. Some people were taught in primary school with their native tongues.

I am curious, do black women also go through this? Because it seems like it is always or most times black men complaining of racism and witch-hunting. Pardon me, I feel little to no sympathy for them, given that they are at the forefront of tribal and gender discrimination in their safe zones (e.g Nigeria). Not forgetting white-worship. So maybe they can get a feel of what it feels like to be the inferior party from their revered Team-Foreign.

Ignorance is indeed a disease. Inferiority complex at it's highest. Where else should be our safe zones if not Nigeria? Does Nigeria not belong to Nigerians?

Just a simple Google search will tell you which gender suffers racism more. You have no idea the number of black women that have been shot while sleeping in their homes or in their cars by white cops.

For every black man that have suffered racism there are 8 black or asian women (yes asian women are being targeted more than black men) who have suffered more.

You know why? Bcuz men are more difficult to bully even by their fellow men. Women are easier prey. I'm pretty sure you can't even hurl insults at a random man in real life without expecting grave repercussions.

Black & asian women don't only get racial slurs, they get killed or go missing.

I can assure you that even as a white woman (which you aren't unfortunately) you'll need to think twice before you even try to throw racial slurs at a black man cuz you might get your jaw knocked off its joints. You know how violent the black community can get.

So you see, black women are getting an ample dose of what you wish on black men. Fortunately.

Thank you for buttressing what I already said.

Anyway, I feel so bad for these women because like you rightly confirmed, it is mostly black men hitting and killing them. Someday, I might be able to feel some pity for these men, but until then, my heart goes out to the women.

Do have a lovely day.

You can't play this game long enough with me without losing your pretence at good poise and behavioural impeccability. You've always been intellectually and emotionally inferior.

I know just where to touch you to have any pretence at decency exposed, leaving you frustrated and angry.

We don't raise females like you with base etiquette and loose morals. Neither do we have women who have squandered their prime in wayward living and now augment their poor character by bankrolling their relationship in the hopes of keeping a man -- a jobless one for that matter.

No, we don't have your kind in our midst. Your air would actually pollute even our unborn seeds should we have the unpleasantness sharing a room with you for a minute.

Yawns. Someday you would meet a genie and your wishes would be granted. Until then, keep hoping… grin grin
